I think it looks and sounds great so far.

On another note, I thought I read a recent article saying that Square-Enix were waiting to see how the 3DS goes and if it's recieved positively in general (which I'm going to make a wild assumption right now that it will be), they will definitely be considering an FFV and FFVI remake for the system.

I agree with Dak in that some people need to unbunch their panties.

Did you also notice how SE had nothing to say about Dragon Quest X this year? They had announced it for Wii a year or two back, but I think after DQIX they've seriously reconsidered that. I'd imagine they'd go 3DS with DQX as well.

That said, we're a week and a half away from Dragon Quest IX :D

To be honest, I think this E3 was more aimed on their western type games. Other than FFXIV, of course. I bet we'll see heaps more stuff about their main franchises at TGS.

Well, you also don't want to take attention away from a big gun like Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The moment SE had a controlling share in Eidos, that game became a big priority. If Eidos has learned their lessons - and if behind-doors impressions are to be believed, they essentially have - then that's going to be a huge game.

It could be what SE needs to establish themselves in the western RPG market. Seriously, the original Deus Ex and even System Shock make everything Bioware has done look incredibly childish. And it seems the game has Warren Spector's blessing, which does much to ease any concerns I've had.

Reminds me more of Star Ocean than Final Fantasy. Which, in FF's current status (mainly the horrible battle system that is mashing X and the R/L buttons from XIII), is definitely not a bad thing.

I completely forgot about this game. Looking pretty damn good so far - but after FFXIII... eh, still cautious.
