The price is too high for a handheld and I'm one of those idiots that has multiple consoles/handhelds.

And there is no reason why people can't express their concerns over the price in a thread about the device. The Ignore Feature is there for a reason.

I don't like that its $300, but I'll pay it because I've got no reasons to doubt a Nintendo handheld based on history alone. I have always bought Nintendo handhelds at launch, and I can't say that about any other handheld or platform - that includes Nintendo consoles. Waited just about four years to get a Wii and PSP because I didn't see the need til this year. Same thing with PS3, which I hope to have soon enough.

Its going to be peanuts compared to what Sony will want us to pay for a PSP2 at any rate.

And I think that the price of the PSP2 will be influenced by the 3DS's price. Companies will eat some of the price at times to release in a certain price point but seeing Nintendo take the jump into $300 price point will probably make them bold enough to do so too. They may wait to see how well its received but I don't think it will stop them from taking the plunge.

I'd pay 500 bucks for properly made PSP2, but I wouldn't want a PSPGo even if it was free.

Inventory space alone (IRL) is worth more than that piece of trash.

Its Sony, they can't help themselves when it comes to making things too high spec for the general consumer.

They said they were going to take handheld gaming "out of the ghetto" (Sony's words) with PSP and for all the hard lessons Sony should have learned, it certainly doesn't show with the choices they went on to make for PS3 and PSPGo.

Whatever the case may be with 3DS, I'm fairly sure once the early adopters have it, the price (wherever it starts out)will drop by $50 at most before the holiday, as that's when Sony is angling to have the PSP2 out. Oh, it exists, its the industry's worst kept secret. Warner Bros and EA have already blabbed about having the PSP2 dev kits. The world can only wonder why Sony's pretending its a secret.

32 Nintendo 3DS titles to be shown in Tokyo next month- Destructoid

The hype machine returns later next week, I believe NOA has an announcement of the price and US launch line-up later in January.

Still, 32 games to show off and half of them are playable at this JP event, that's a pretty strong showing for a new platform pre-launch

That event is free entry, too. Unfortunately, it's like $16~ in train fare and a few hours of riding for me to get over to the Messe, and to deal with lines that mean I probably get to play for three minutes after hours of waiting, I doubt I'll be going.

If someone could find out what the "two outlet shopping centers" everyone mentions but nobody fucking elaborates on because gaming journalism isn't enough of a fucking joke as is, I'd appreciate it.

I will likely sacrifice my DSi on an alter to get mine.

Or just trade it in on top of my preorder, which is probably the more practical choice.

I didn't see any details about the shopping centers, Feba, but you might want to start your inquiry based off the world hobby fair and see if that leads to any clues about the shopping centers. Or just check Nintendo's JP site.

I love the new Touch but I recently sold mine. It's redundant to have one with owning an iPad. I found that it would be in my bag dead more often than not. So no phone yet and all I have is my iPad....I kind of feel naked.

I don't think I'll be getting the 3DS right away. Can't really see in 3D very well so there really is no sense and I looooooove my XL so much that it doesn't matter. I'll pick one up for collection purposes after they've been out a while and release some limited edition that catches my eye.

How much are the new iTouches? I'm holding on the idea until next year, cuz I suspect Verizon will be having some announcements and then I can have my choice of iPhone or Droid and then maybe switch to Verizon's 4G since that would also extend to home internet service and phone.

Clear's 4G is getting too spotty for me and Verizon is just as much a month with better coverage in my area, I may as well consolidate phone and internet to one bill. Of course, all bets are off if Verizon FiOS gets out here, I'll bundle that and just get an iTouch.

Man, just thinking about those three services in my area kinda warms my heart because it means Time-Warner is about get get hurt bad. They deserve it, too, because TW's service is terrible. Everyone I know is leaving TW now, even if it means taking a hit in bandwidth speed or losing a few channels.

I had the 64gb version and I paid $299 but only because I used a friends discount. It's usually $399. I think the smallest one is like $250ish, not sure about the price and don't remember the hd size. But they are sleek sexy beasts I will say that. I was majorly impressed with it.
