Rock Band 3 keyboard, pro mode confirmed

I had promised myself that I wouldn't buy anymore plastic instruments as I have way too many as it is. But RB3 is going to have a MIDI keyboard... which means I will inevitably buy it (along with all the other RB3 stuff).

They really know how to crowbar open the ol wallet.

I'll actually probably break down and buy the six-stringed Fender guitar (the real, non-150 button one). I've always wanted to learn how to play and this seems like a fun way to do so.

As for keyboards I already have a MIDI keyboard. :D And the cymbal upgrade for the drums is only $40, so my total upgrade here plus the cost of the game is looking like $60+$40+real guitar... probably end up spending $300-400. But it'll be WORTH IT!!!

Well, as it turns out, my 61 key keyboard is compatible, so I just have to buy the adapter + game which will run significantly cheaper than the entier bundle. Thank god.

For what it's worth, my cousin got a RB set for his kids a few months back, and I noticed the midi port in the drum set right away. I'm guessing you can use any keyboard with a standard 5-pin DIN MIDI port.

For maximum win, use a Miracle Piano keyboard.

Ohhhhhh yah. The midi adapter is only 40 dollars, so playing the part I WANT to play in RB3 will only cost me about a hundred bucks. Nice.
