Starting fresh with a brand new Wii. Recommend me some games! :3

Well, my room-mate hates his Wii. Thought Wii Sports would be more fun (Why yes, that was kind of the only game he was looking forward to, and Wii Fit.) and turned out it didn't. Though I guess it was the begging from the girlfriend that really did it... she doesn't even play it anymore... ANYWAY!

Brought it off him for $75, gonna trade it in for a new black Wii at Gamestop, will only have to shell out $50 and I'll get away with a profit. Win!

So yeah. Anything I'm not aware of already? Seriously, I'll play almost any genre. I plan on getting,

Super Mario Galaxy (2 when I beat it)
No More Heroes (Same)
Zelda: Twilight
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Maybe New Super Mario Bros... maybe. Not convinced yet. I mean, loved the originals but I'unno!
Metroid Prime Trilogy

...Pretty small list, actually -- BUT! I never bought a Gamecube! So I missed so much from that too! Zelda: Windwaker, etc. So yay! ... Hate how I'll have to buy a mem. card for that though.

Pick up Mad World. It's pretty cheap and it's a nice spectacle. The game is a wondefully cathartic experience in addition to being one of the few games I've encountered that makes effective use of a rap/hip-hop soundtrack.
Also: Man-Darts.

Mario Cart is a must have! its tons of fun and plus you can get some old school maps that bring back the good old days!

Metroid Prime Trilogy - especially if you haven't played the first two - will keep you busy for a good, long time. Unlike the 2D ones, the 3D ones have been a bit more Zelda-sized in terms of length, so you can expect a just under 20 hours out of each of those, plus its got its own sort of achievement system to unlock things.

Most of your list is fine. Might want to go after Zelda: Wind Waker before Twilight Princess, because between the two, Wind Waker feels like it has a more solid design, but Twilight Princess just seems a bit more difficult and rough around the edges. TP gets better after a third of the way in, but that's a painfully slow start for a Zelda game.

No More Heroes is fun so far, I'm getting back to it after Zelda. Same as you I'm doing Mario Galaxy 2 after the first one.

Download Bit.Trip Runner off Wii Ware - hell of a game for 800 points, really challenging and fun. Its kind of a rhythm-based platformer. Actually, it seems you can't go wrong with any of the Bit.Trip games.

Sin and Punishment is a nice bullet hell game for 1200 points on Virtual Console, its sequel hits Wii later in the month and looks amazing. Short games, but that's what shmups usually are.

Oh, Monster Hunter Tri and Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom are also great. Community on MHT is strong, but not so much of TvC.

Looking to get Muramasa and repurchasing Okami. If you haven't played Okami, that's a great Zelda-style game. And people don't just compare it to Zelda to bullshit, it really does feel like a Zelda game, but maintains a style all its own. You can find it new some places for $20.

Ah, forgot about MH. I actually have it for the PSP, Freedom Unite, but the online seriously sucks. Think I'll get Tri for that fact alone.

Good to know there's some notable Wii Ware games. Thought it would end up being Shovel Ware, but Bit.Trip looks very promising.

Resident Evil 4 is a really fun game, definitely reccommend, will keep you scared/entertained for a good while

If we're adding in downloadable games I'm going to have to stress the importance of getting a Bomberman game. There's a 5-player one floating around for about $8. It's awesome multiplayer fun. Can't say much for the single player mode, but just grab some friends and deathmatches are a blast.

Can't say, I don't have it yet. I only played it on PS2 and should have waited to get it for the Wii, though.

The control scheme on the PS2 version of Okami was a lot better in my experience. The Wii controller just gets in the way of playing the game honestly. You can make the brush strokes work with some practice, but it can be really frustrating at times. If you've already played it on PS2 then don't waste your money.

Monster Hunter is the only reason I want the Wii. I bought one and sold it off long ago. Got fairly far in Twilight but it lost it's luster for me right near the end.

If I had roomies or people over more often and an apartment conducive to such, the Wii would proly still be with me... just not that fun all by your lonesome.

Punch-Out!!

If GameCube games count and you played Ocarina of Time, I highly recommend WindWaker. Awesome game. You might also enjoy Fire Emblem (there's a Wii sequel) but I'd look up videos of it on Youtube first to see if it appeals to you.

If you enjoyed NES Mega Man games back in the day then MegaMan 9 (and 10, but I still haven't played it) would appeal to you.

Oh come on there are no good man darts videos out there? That's down right criminal.....oooo....idea forming....how about playing man darts with criminals on death row!??....oh and add certain priests to that list too....

Add Super Paper Mario to your list and I rather like the Trauma Center series.

I so need to get Trauma Team, it looks like they best one yet.

Its like a fully-realized medical drama TV miniseries as a game.

Can't believe no one's mentioned Cave Story for WiiWare. That's a must-own.

Also maybe get Wii Sports Resort... it's a LOT of fun and a great thing to play when friends are over (that's the only time you'll play it probably but it's still worth it). Especially frisbee golf.
