Re: The 4 Heroes of Light

I know, I just find it frustrating when a handheld game has no real ability to let you save it if you only have half an hour or so to play. I personally tend to judge handheld games on how easy it is to hop into the action, save and pick it up again later. FF 4 Heroes can be quite frustrating at times because it's not always obvious where the next town or objective (Elder Scrolls 1-3 showed how frustrating this can be in huge game worlds) or next Fedora man is.
Can't you just close the DS?

Exactly what I was going to ask. The DS battery will last for many hours with the DS closed (even if you can't plug it into a charger) and then when you have time to play again, there it is.

It's not a save in the sense that you could go back to it if you got killed, but that's not really what you were asking for anyway, was it?

Re: The 4 Heroes of Light

Well I don't often leave my DS on charge overnight so closing the lid can get me mixed results as far as battery life goes

And I'm usually playing it on the train to college so the DS can still be on for anything between three to twelve hours depending on how many lectures are on the that day. I'd rather have the save just to be sure really.

There's been times I've forgotten I was playing a game and left the DS closed for 24-48 hours, only to find the battery's still kicking. Give it a shot, it's one of the best things ever invented. If it worries you, charge it overnight.

LOL Really! Hey I'm old and closing the DS until "later" can mean its like that for a long damn time because I'm pretty forgetful! I think I've only had it run out of juice once doing it like that. When you compare my DS battery life to my PSP battery life (and I'm talking when its OFF not when its in use), the DS wins hands down doing backflips. I can't leave my PSP sit for a few weeks because the battery will be dead and with my DS it can sit for months and the battery life is great. Much to Nintendo for doing it right.
