    Story:

In the small kingdom of Horne, Brandt awakes on the morning of his fourteenth birthday.
Today is the day he becomes an adult, and the custom of the realm says that he must go to the castle to present himself to the king.
Yet when he arrives at the castle he finds the kind distraught and the youngest princess missing, abducted by the Witch of the North. With no one else to turn to, the king makes a shocking request: will Brandt save the princess?
    And thus Brandt’s adventure begins…
Eventually he is joined by three other brave young souls. Together they will experience a journey full of joyous meetings and sad partings.
Though at first they don’t always see eye-to-eye, these four Heroes of Light will build bonds of trust and affection so strong that, in the end, they may even save the world.
This is the tale of their legendary fantasy.

    Features:

    • A Brand-New FINAL FANTASY For Nintendo DS
Experience an original story set in an all-new world created by the team behind the Nintendo DS versions of FINAL FANTASY III and FINAL FANTASY IV.

    • Beautiful Picture-Book Visuals
Akihiko Yoshida (FINAL FANTASY III DS, FINAL FANTASY XII) provides world-class art direction, lending the game’s cast and environments a charming picture-book style.

    • User-Friendly Controls
A simple Touchscreen interface offers easy access to the game’s extensive arsenal of physical, magical and summoning abilities, meaning that players can forget about the controls and focus on the enemy.

    • Near Limitless Customisation
Thanks to the game’s Crown System, characters can now switch their class at the drop of a hat or, more accurately, the change of a hat. Simply by changing the crown a character is wearing, players can assign them different abilities, and with over 20 crowns to discover (including Black Mage, White Mage and Ranger crowns), the strategic options are practically limitless.

    • Share the Fun with Friends!
Using DS Wireless Play, up to four friends can team up to tackle challenging dungeons. Apart from being a lot of fun, multiplayer mode allows players to collect Battle Points which can be exchanged for rare items, and these can then be used in single-player mode.

Seems interesting. I've played all the games so far, so no point in skipping out on this one. Might as well give it a try.

Looking forward to this. I love the watercolor look of it so far.

Also, I like seeing Akihiko Yoshida getting more and more work within SE. His style is classic and inspired at the same time, much better than most of Nomura's artwork of late.

Over 20 Crowns, eh? I actually find myself hoping that Puppetmaster, of all things, finds its way in to this game as one of them.

Either way, I think I may pick it up, in spite of my current video game backlog.

Would love it if SE had the balls to just call it FFXV, like they did with DQ.

The king really had no one to turn to besides a 14 y/o?

Of course not. This is a fantasy game, after all.

Seems interesting, game looks like sheer ass though.

It's looks like their striving for a style similar to Valkyria Chronicles or FFT's water color art, but the results are none too pretty to me.

Still, if the game is really fun and interesting I'm willing to look past that.

This will make 3 Final Fantasy titles released in 2010 where their prime appeal basically boils down to "on the fly job switching"?

please tell me my computer isn't displaying the images correctly. I've recently had my eyes tested and they were fine but the pics all I saw was coloured blobs no particular shapes or detail. I thought graphics were meant to advance.

Yeah, they look like crap now that I actually looked at them. Worse than Runescape as well... Even Nintendo had better graphics, and the shapes had form. lol

At first I thought it was my eyes.
Ever since I got my 360 I've thought I had trouble with me eyes because whenever I see tutorials etc I can never see the buttons they are telling me to use. I play on a 42" flatscreen HD tv whic looks cool but no matter which game I can never see. Thank heavens I read the manuals.

I've been to the opticians twice because of this and my vision is fine.
I find it funny I can insert a cannula into vein with ease but I cant read an instruction telling me to press a button.

lol. All tutorials are like that. Can never read the buttons they tell you to push. I never read the manuals either. I just sit there and figure the controls out for my self, its better that way. lol

It could be the games that are like that.

I figure it's the 360 display at fault.
After paying for 2 optician tests that arent needed lol.

I'm sure it's a common experience for many 360 players you'd think they'd sort it by now.
