Back in Black: The Wii /w Wii Sports, WS Resort and Wii Motion Plus for $200

Destructoid - Black Wii confirmed, will include Wii Sports Resort and MotionPlus

Well my patience has been rewarded. This was the bundle Wal-Mart got exclusively for the last couple of months in the US, now it seems every other retailer will be getting it, only in black.

Comes with a Wii Motion Plus controll, Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. Not a bad deal at all. Starting the same day all the white Wiis apparently will be getting the same deal as well.

Comes out May 9th. Gonna grab up some Wii games today. Saw a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy at EB the other day, definitely gonna pick up Monster Hunter by next week.

I got a whole list of what I want to play:

NMH
NMH2
Red Steel 2 (the good one, from what I hear)
Mario Galaxy
Zelda: Twilight Princess
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom
Rune Factory Frontier
Little King's Story
A Boy and his Blob

Guess I'm looking for suggestions on the Wii Ware side of things. I know the VC side of the Wii might just turn me into a kid in a candy store. Sin and Punishment, Super Metroid, Ogre Battle 64, Mega Man 9 and 10.

This will keep my busy for a while I think.

but yeah thats cool, I already have a black Wiimote, and the Classic controller pro, this is a nice deal though, almost would trade in my Wii to get this new one.

While you're in the shop, pick up something Bit.Trip. I have to admit I've only played BEAT so far, but it's great, and I think you'll get a kick out of it. Definitely toss Okami on that list too if you haven't played it on PS2.

I was going to recommend No More Heroes 2, but it looks like you've already figured out that you should play it. My friend and I broke it in last night and it's a lot of fun.

As for the Wii finally having a black version, all I can say is it's about time.

Tsk. Have my room-mates' Wii right here in my room, all boxed up. So far it's been a disappointment to me (Well, not really... just can never seem to have the will to play it after beating Twilight, Galaxy, and overplaying Brawl)... but that Monster Hunter Tri has me thinking.

How long is this black bundle going to last? Probably in the future I'll grab one for myself. Could buy this one off of my room-mate but I can't stand second-hand products.

Can't go down the road like I did with the Gamecube... missed some good games that time.

Looks like I gotta scratch together the money to pick this up on launch. I need my MH fix, and having Super Metroid doesn't hurt either.

They had a ninja sneak into your house and when they saw you needed a black Wii, they made them white. Nintendo does shit like that.

That's a nice bundle, but I'm not biting. My Wii has been dormant for eleven of the last twelve months, and it might - might - see two months of activity in the coming year.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you say this every time and I don't think anyone cares.

You made an ill-informed purchase, really. You're one of those people that doesn't get Nintendo is a company operating on two fronts. I've known this since 1989 and wonder why people don't get that. A Nintendo console always plays second fiddle to the handhelds. That's why I waited four years to get a Wii.

How's PSP playing second-fiddle to PS3 working out for PSP, though? I could complain, but the times I play my PSP I tend to enjoy it very much, I'm getting my moneys worth. Like the Wii, I waited a few years to invest because I knew it was second fiddle to the Sony consoles. Dissidia and Persona gave me the final incentive, just as Metroid Other M and the JRPG scene shifting to the Wii has turned me to the Wii.

I am no early adopter except when it comes to Nintendo handhelds. I know there will be support there.

Omg so true. If I hadn't already owned a Wii, I would buy one solely for Metroid: Other M.

Right now I'm not playing anything on my Wii because my roommates and I recently completed New Super Mario Bros. But let me tell you... even though I've spent more time on my PS3, I do think I've had the most fun on the Wii.
