It doesn't have spanish-speaking commentators so I seriously doubt it.

Probably my connection. One of the towers I get my internet from has been down for repairs the last week, which means every customer with my ISP is now sharing the same tower til they get it fixed. My connection now varies between "awesome" and "suck" depending upon the time of day.

Makes Netflix a bitch to watch.

They better get it fixed before E3, I got videos from that I'm going to want to watch >.>; I was lucky to have a stable enough connection to record with LBR last week.

Yeah, Kotick is seriously off his rocker if he thinks he can charge people to use battle.net. Good way to kill off whatever install base is left.

The average gamer will likely choose between subscribing to XBL, or Battle.net - Guess which will win. I'd say all but maybe a million or so hardcore fans would subscribe, unless it's super cheap (and being Kotick and all, I wouldn't bet on that)

Wtf are you talking about? There are no plans to charge for battle.net's service.

Bnet 2.0 (or 0.2 as some are jokingly calling it) is lacking some features but it's plenty robust for game launch. The news that blizzard announced additions are coming in a few months as opposed to waiting for the next installment is fantastic.

Definitely some blunders, especially PR-related, but Blizzard's doing a good job.

              Re: Starcraft 2 CE announced

I've hit platinum ranking and been really involved with this beta so I can say a few things:

              1. No charge for Bnet and that's been stated numerous times by Blizzard.

              2. New integration with Bnet and social networking sites makes this a plus for a lot of players.

              3. Aside from some issues with the new 3v3 and 4v4 maps, the experience has been pretty good so far. They will continue to fine-tune the auto-drop feature when you encounter someone with bad latency which affects gameplay.

              4. Ranking needs some work still ... in 2v2/3v3/4v4 platinum I run into either bronze level players or tournament finalists (i.e., played with HuK and Jinro lulz)

              5. Blizzard is really on top of things this time around and constant patches tweaking units, abilities and even timers help to refine the game further. The game is still quite playable, however, as all of these unofficial tournaments can attest to.

              6. The map editor is very, very deep and the possibilities are endless at this time. I've seen some jaw-dropping maps and knowing the community support for Blizzard's game, that $60 is WELL WORTH the product you are receiving.

              Some examples:

              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hny-o...#91;UMS Test 1

              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ah3Xm...#91;UMS Test 5

              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0B1o...#91;UMS Test 7

With a reasonable setup, many people can play this game, this has always been the Blizzard way (reaching the masses) So you're not required to get the best system out there to enjoy it.

I think you'll enjoy the HD Invitational. I love HD and Husky commenting these games.

Those finals games were pretty good, can you recommend any from the tournament that are as enjoyable? The commentators were amusing too

As usual, it's far from user-friendly. This has always been the case with Blizzard editors. I still feel like a card-layout style "wizard" wouldn't be hard to build for people who want to crash around and get a basic framework for their custom maps instead of it taking an online tutorial just to figure out how to add an AI. That said, it's always more robust than the last. I took the time to get to know the WC3 editor at one point, and I think the SC2 editor dwarfs that beast.

I need to do more 2v2 when the servers come back up. =( My #1 Starcraft buddy thinks 1v1 is the only way to play.
