it does have some nintendo NES cartridge feel.
But I too agree it's fake.

Keep in mind that putting a coat of ugly on your test products is common procedure. That said, looks damn fake. No seeming apparatus to give 3D, and the design just doesn't look like something that Nintendo would consider usable and user friendly (the wide screen mode especially). It looks like the sort of ill-concieved concept that people make online that look cool, but aren't feasible. Also, it seems like it would have a very hard time supporting DS software properly (largely, one integrated touch screen means that it's hard to keep your stylus in the right place; the lack of division between screens in general is concerning), and that certainly seems to be the only use for the vertical mode.
The way it flips it around makes it seem like most of the weight wont be directly in your hands, but rather above it.
Which was one of the great successes of the GameGear and PSP over Nintendo's offerings (GB/P/C at the time of the first, DS at the time of the second) of the time. Luckily for the DS, it's top screen is light, and the angle it's held at makes it a nonissue for most people. But having the console's weight rest directly in your hand is a great practice.
I swear that's a prototype of a Korean/Chinese handheld I read about a while back. As soon as I saw the pictures I knew I'd seen them before.
Yeah. It just didn't look like anything Nintendo would dream up.
There's also that whole "DS" thing, which implies there's some continuation of the current design. Nintendo tends to stick to Gunpei Yokoi's design philosophy when it comes to the handheld stuff. His influence is even felt in the DS, but also in every iteration of the GBA.
I expect something similar to the DSi, just wider with the screens closer together, really. We know there's a Tegra chip in it, which means it can also output 1080p video. We know its got around Gamecube-level tech in there, too.
