I started playing FFXIII this weekend and I am impressed with graphics and the story line is okay so far... I do think FFXIII will rank up there for me when it is all said and done...

I'll always consider FFIV the quintessential Final Fantasy game, but if I'm honest with myself I think the one I enjoyed the most was FFVII.

Seven was just a ton of fun on a mechanics level and the story wasn't too shabby either. It also managed to not reach hyper-realistic graphics, which tend to break my immersion into a game world. The block people were endearing. The characters were solid enough; Most were a bit over the top, but some felt like they had a streak of reality in them. Who among us can say we didn't love seeing the Turks in Wutai tell us to piss off because they were on vacation?

Nice well I did not play FFIV but I did play FFVII. I must admit FFVII brought me into this cult following that we all love. It was awsome and I never got emotional about a game till then... I know crazy right but it is very true!
