There was one side scrolling RPG that was in a gothic horror setting. I remember spending months playing and replaying that game. I just cant remember the name of it.

i finally beat this game a few months ago...and i've had it for years upon years.

Kid Icarus is high on my nes favorites as well

i also think it's pretty funny that on the mega man 1 game cartriage he's holding a gun (i think).

A buddy and me recently tried to beat Ninja Gaiden..we could not do it. Got pretty far too.
that game made me hate bats and hawks...

Kid Icarus is high on my nes favorites as well

TMNT was no joke. When you get near the end of the game, those one shot firepits of death cause me the most trouble. There was one pit in particular that was extra long and you had to jump at the last moment to clear it.

I have to agree with everyone who said Duck Hunt. Although I'm an RPGamer to the core, my roots are in clay shooting. I accept any and all challengers. To this day i have not once unplugged my NES from my TV except to move it to another one. It has seen constant use and have retained my itchy trigger finger over all these years.

... and Faxanadu... no one I talk to played that game. It was seriously one of the best damn RPGs ever made. One of the first that changed the look of your dude as you got better equiptment. Man I really loved that game. I musta played thru it several times.

... and I had to lay this one out there for the Metroid fans... I might have it incomplete too... been sooooo long.

There are so many games that have contributed to our love of video games! Sure before Nintendo was Atari and even farther back. I like to think that part of my life has been shaped by video games because we have grown up in the age of video games. I am a country boy and would rather be outside any day but at night when I come inside I like to rest on the couch and play video games at night. Awsome games Nintendo was defiantly great! Still is with its come back kid the Wii...

No SMB2 or MM5 fans? What about the original Tetris craze? Was a lot of stuff back then, anyway.

I think Final Fantasy III deserves some mention while talking about the system, even though it came out in 1990 and I'm sure very few if any of us played it for almost a decade thereafter anyway. Yay for job change.

I did like the Walt Disney World game to because you had run from pirates, hide from ghost in the haunted mansion, ride space mountain... A couple others I cannot remember as of right now...
