aaah they should release that movie already! It would be fun to watch for a good laugh! I heard they have trouble finding a publisher or something, but maybe it'll go straight to DVD. they spent over a million producing it.

It's already immediately starting to become revelant. Even the SNK and fighting game fans are taking KOFXIII very seriously and full of hype and even they are starting to mew too!

It has bosses, it has story, cutscenes, conversations, more moves, more characters, more stages, more music, more of everything! And the official teams are organized now too.

I would hope the SNK and fighting game fans are starting take it seriously. If they can't, who CAN?

Still, it has Mai Shiranui, and that's a step in the right direction. It's not that KoF has ever been a bad franchise, but there hasn't ever really been anything to set it above, say, Street Fighter. The gameplay is mostly yawntastic, and the entire 2D fighter genre is becoming incredibly stale.

If I'm going to play a 2D hand drawn fighter, it'll be something unique like BlazBlue, not version 13 of a mostly milquetoast 2D fighter whose primary claims to fame are T&A fanservice and slightly smoother frames of animation.

It has bosses, it has story, cutscenes, conversations, more moves, more characters, more stages, more music, more of everything! And the official teams are organized now too.

Bwahahaha... that's a good one!

More stages/characters/music isn't saying much of anything considering how threadbare KoF12 was.

Moral of the story: BlazBlue : Conitnuum Shift is going to beat the pants off of King of Fighters 13 in visuals and gameplay.

Blazblue gameplay is nothing more than a modified Guilty Gear. It's really boring compared to KOF and even SF. And its character designs are worse than The Rumble Fish. <.< They all look like they came out of a forgettable anime.

Actually, after looking it up on google, the characters from The Rumble Fish look like the walked right out of KoF. A bunch of generic, oddly dressed fighters with popped collars and asian outfits. Blazblue characters actually manage to look unique and interesting compared to most KoF character designs.

KOF designs is closer to street fighting and MMA, Blazblue closer to a Samurai Shodown and Darkstalkers wannabe. :p
Ya Rumble Fish was a bad example. maybe World Heroes or Kizuna Encounter would fit in Blazblue's category of bad character designs.

I wouldn't call the freaks in Blazblue more interesting. Uniqueness has a limit to how interesting it can make a design, or
just too exaggerated. Blazblue is really all flash and no real uniqueness in the substance of their character personalities.
But ya I guess its kind of like anime, there are different flavors and tastes.
Blazblue just doesn't even have half of the charisma, quality designs, and originality Guilty Gear had, IMO.
But even Guilty Gear's charm wears off quick. I guess it happened when they started recycling Guilty Gear X too much, especially the stages,
and each version had less and less characters and bosses added (like Street Fighter 2 and it's 5+ versions.) And you knew they really started getting lazy when they added versions of existing characters, like Order Sol.

HOS is a completely different character than Sol, in design as well as playstayle and mechanics. You can't even consider them just different versions of the same character, they just happen to share the same name.

You're accusing Guilty Gear of recycling when the entire KoF franchise was based on recycling? There's a reason they used to be able to release 1 KoF a year.
