Demon Souls may be fun to some people, but I find it unappealing in character design, story and it looks too generic. Atlus should make a Persona version of Demon Souls. That might be interesting to play.

baww I couldn't beat the first level! why doesn't my health regen automatically?! why isn't there a save point around every corner?! this game sucks!

Atlus should make a Persona version of Demon Souls.

So the game would be more interesting if it appealed to weeaboos? Get the fuck out of here. Hopefully since the first game was popular the Atlus name will never touch the second. Hearing people compare it to Persona because they think Atlus developed the game is nauseating.


This will definitely be a day 1 purchase for me. I have easily put 200+ hours into the first game and I am still playing it even now over a year later. There are a few improvements I would like to see made but as long as From Software stays true to the design and concept of the first I will be all over this.

Oh hells yes. From Software could easily pull out another win if they stick to the things that made the first one great.

...though to be fair, I still have to beat the first one. God damn giant goblins keep teaming up on me and I'm too stubborn to cheat my way through it with a bow.

I really enjoyed Demon's Souls, but I agree with YM. It's not a matter of "casual gaming".

Demon's Souls is simply incredibly guilty of "artificial difficulty". The end.

Apparently forcing players to take their time and do things cautiously instead of rushing in hacking and slashing is "artificially" difficult. I mean, how dare they make a game that has genuine difficulty, games shouldn't be a challenge anymore! They should hold my hand and let me save every five feet so when I royally screw up a dozen times I should just be able to start over at the exact same spot with everything I had before I screwed up with no actual repercussions what so ever!

p.s. casual players are casuals =(

Atlus should make a Persona version of Demon Souls.

Why? Persona and SMT games in general are already nutcrackers for the turn-based crowd.

Two weeks and I'm not anywhere closer to beating Margaret than I was before. She's hardcore.

SMT: Nocturne is even nastier on Hard and it was no slouch on Normal.

Let Demon's Souls be Demon's Souls, man. Lack of story and harsh gameplay is what its about.

Its From Software's game anyway, not Atlus'. Atlus just published and started a wiki for it.

I also wouldn't call all Persona fans "weeaboos," particularly because I hate weeaboos too.

Atlus does a better job of communicating the culture to Americans, though. They do a good job educating you with out making it feel overwhelmingly different.
