    Ok someone decide for me since I cant.....

    I would like to play something different on the side, while I play Star Trek Online off and on. I can not decide though -.- so I am asking you all.

    I have access to pretty much every old school system from N64 on down (not counting PSX because I dont feel like downloading so much)

    give me the name of the game, the type of game it is, the system its on, and why you liked it (no spoilers please ;p)

    No RPGs, (action RPGs are ok) because STO is enough RPG for me right now.
    No fighters (I have Kamen Rider Climax of Heroes and Soul Caliber for that)

    oh and so I dont go insane from overload, please limit yourselves to 2 games per person.

      mmmmm sounds interesting, looking for something more on old school console though, will keep it in mind, think I have a friend that has a CD of that.

          yeah it sure is ;p I remember when it came out, well remember as in, when it came out some classmates wanted me to try it, but I never did.

            Duke Nukem 3D (... sorry PC I know) incredible humor and lotsa secret areas made this game a very fun game when I was younger.

            CastleVania: Symphony of the Night (PS1, PSP, PS360) simply put, imHo... it's proly the bestest sidescroller I ever EVER played. I played it once when it was first out at my buddy's and thought I'd beaten it.... years later I find out I wasn't even remotely close cuz I never knew about flipping the castle over. Brilliant world design and pretty cool character, Alucard. Funny script tho.

                yeah CV:SotN is awesome, but I beat it way to many times now, same as Duke #D, but then again, beating Duke 3D again would not hurt ;p

                Don't have a DS anymore, but I am looking to get one when the DS XL comes out, but it will depend on my monetary condition ^.^

                    Ico, into Shadow of the Colossus, into Braid, into Lunar the Silver star collections for the PSP that I think is coming out this month.

                    of those... I'd have to say Shadow of the Colossus if you got 2-3 hours a day to play, you'll finish it in probably 3-4 days. and then you'll want to play it again.

                    I can't begin to express how emotional the game was/is. The way it was done, the controls, the visuals on the ps2. I read about it, in 2005 and wanted to check it out, and while stationed at FOB Wilson in Iraq, got a copy from the Base exchange @ COP Speicher. I played it for 3 days straight, until I finished it, and the 3 other guys I was with, watched me do it, and never asked to play, or complained. They were just as enthralled by the visuals, story, and suspense as I was. I still have that copy, even though it's unplayable, as about 10 days later we had a fire in our bunker and everything burnt to the ground. My PSP melted, my body armor had melted plastic on it, and the PS2 (which was the old body style) was toast. But I kept that game. It's something I want my kids to one day play when their about 12-14 years old. It's that good.

                      Your kids will be too busy playing Pokemon Haitian Black Pearl or Bali Blue Opal.

                        Warsong on the Sega Genesis was epic. I loved that game. I probably played / beat it 5-6 times, picking different job paths for each of the characters. It does a really good job of battle strategy and had a good storyline. The different classes your chacters can level to really enhances the different strategies you can implement on the battlefield. Plus there's alot of twists and turns. That's my vote.

                            Well I knew I would, but I just finished Bioshock 2, so lets see......Warcong sounds good classic goodness, and I will see if I can get a hold of Shadow of Colossus, what else.....

                            also a side note, I do not have a DS or a PsP anymore


                            I have a Wii, 360, PS2 and then I have access to all the old console emulation (N64 and below)

                              Watch all 25 or 26 episodes of Anime Berserk then play the Berserk for the Dreamcast. The Dreamcast game happens after the events of the Anime.

                              Note: The game is a less polished Diablo clone.
