I love my Wii just like the next Nintendo fan but calling the iPhone a POS is so wrong. I finally caved and got one after going through at least a DOZEN phones. It's not overpowered for people that actually utilize it (and for people that don't then you probably shouldn't have bought one).

I said it, not as a Nintendo fanboy, but as someone who truly thinks the Iphone, along with all the other Apple stuff is complete crap.



Apple products are overly pretty, over priced and half the time you cant upgrade even then firware on them....


You want this cool new feature? buy a new one, while other products just update the firmware to let you do the same thing.

For as much as there is to like about Apple products, there's slightly more to hate. How many people have owned an iPod that DIDN'T mysteriously stop working? And how pissed were they when Apple charged them to fix their dysfunctional product? And what about their policy screw all early adopters? After releasing a new product they always release an upgraded/fixed version for a few hundred less. And this whole DRM thing? Get yours hands off my music, already.

I'll disagree with this. I am not an Apple fanboy at all. I don't cave in until the last dog is hung so to say. But on all the products I finally caved on, I'm ecstatic that I did! I've been through a buttload of MP3 players, until my iPod. I've been through more than a dozen cellphones, until my iPhone. I've had several laptops and never been satisfied with a single purchase, until my MacBook Pro. And for each of these products I had to be coerced into buying them from family and friends because I'm just not a big fan. But in the end, they were right...they do know their shit.

As for iPods, I'm still on my first (video iPod). I listen to music every time I go to sleep and I use it when I go for my walks 3-4 times a week. No issues here. As for early adapters, thats the chance you take if you have to have one right off the presses. I don't feel sorry for those people at all because I'm the same way with game systems. I've had my share of heartache because of wanting one right away but I don't sit there and moan about it to people. It's my own damn fault. And DRM...never purchased a single song/application for my iPhone or iPod. And people, who buy their products and aren't that savvy about that stuff, know right up front that apps or songs are going to cost them additional money so there's no reason to be whining about that either.

Hello! Welcome to the technology industry. We have this thing called progress. You see, as time goes on, older technology rapidly becomes cheaper to produce; partially through increased demand driving larger production (and as we all know, the more you produce, the cheaper you can make things) and partially through more advanced manufacturing techniques making things cheaper (see the constant striving for smaller and smaller dies for processors; and Moore's Law in general). Even then, Apple at one point gave a big rebate to a lot of early adopters after a major product release. Same thing on DRM, Apple is working against DRM because they realize it's bad for business. iTunes sells plenty of DRM-free stuff.

Honestly, I don't like Apple much either. OS X is pretty useless, the hardware is overpriced, the software is dumbed down to silly levels, but most of all there's just no real reason to go for it except fashion. But there's also no need for the full on hatred some of you people have for it. Is it the Messiah Company? No. That's Google. But the options aren't limited to "Amazing super awesome" and "Evil".

Uh, do you really think I'm talking out of my ass? I've owned several iPods, and, though I haven't purchased one of their computers, I've had enough experience with them through friends. Why have I owned several iPods? Because they're usually made out of complete dick. The only one I have that's lasted is an old 32GB model with a small screen for watching videos, and I usually have to wrestle it free some software problems about once a month. After one of my Nano's broke, I contact Apple's support people to see if I couldn't get it repaired. They wanted to charge me $80 to repair something that cost me $60.

Fuck citations, this is experience. This isn't even a friend of a friend said this or that, or even just a friend, this is stuff that's happened to me and my family. It's a such a mixed bag that it isn't even worth it. I'm the only one in the family that owns an Apple product anymore, but only because it hasn't become broken yet.

Hatred? No, but I don't see how anybody could like it. There's better for less.

In related news, Bandai-Namco posted big losses for last year and fired 10% of their staff. So yeah, this deal Monolith Soft got with Nintendo is a good thing. Maybe Nintendo can help them out an buy the rights to KOS-MOS, if only to have an android weapon to dress up in lacy, silky things for no good reason.

I'm not the biggest fan of Apple products either quite frankly. I don't give a shit what people say I've had far more problems/crashes etc using a MAC back in high school than I ever have with a PC. Oh yeah, and I never, ever had an issue with Vista

... and for the record I use iTunes and it's pretty good ^^ (like I said, I like some of their stuff but hate most of it) and DRM in general needs to just GTFO. Hurray for Canada and it's more lax laws with regards to file sharing. Celebrities make entirely too much fucking money anyway so fuck them, especially when the music and movie industries basically keep serving us the same tired old shit expecting us to pay for it and like it.

I like my free MP3's and I only go out and see the really good movies (of which there are few) since again, said Celebrities make the bulk of the money off of these things.

The CEO of Apple and for a good reason, though not the one you're thinking of. Wallstreet and numerous other investors believe that Apple lives and dies by Jobs. The longer Jobs was not working, the farther Apples stock price fell. So he got up on stage to show everyone he's still alive and dispels some rumours about his impending death so that everyone else can see it's business as usual at Apple.
