  • F2P MMORPG recommendation

I am looking for something semi simple, and not to complicated.

It has to be free to download and play, and one that you have played so you can give your honest opinion about it. Oh and if it has cat girls in it, that a big plus, but its not a requirement ;p

Just looking for something to tide me over till FFXIV beta/retail, or even Star Trek Online release, if I really decide to play that.

My recommendation is just play something good.

SMT Imgine Online was OK, but most free-to-play MMOs I've sampled are a complete joke and a waste of time and harddrive space

I would say Allods Online! The wife and I play it, as well as others from Servants Of The Twelve play it. Its simple, you dont have to train ever other level. You learn all your skills and abilities automatically except for the ones you put your talent points into.

I would check it out. I have played every class in that game and its amazing how customized you can make the class to your play style.

I played Atlantis Online for a little while and found the gameplay enjoyable. It is free to download and play with a game store that has items to buy. Despite joining a guild I never really made any friends/contacts so my enjoyment was limited. I am still enjoying FFXI so I have put Atlantis aside for now.

Ragnarok Online. There are some free servers around and I enjoyed what time I did spend on it. Then again I rolled a Bard and mainly amused myself by running into the PvP rooms and freezing everyone before getting gunned down.

LOL ReBirth here, though I rarely get to play.

Dungeons and Dragons Online had some pretty neat dungeons, with actual traps, puzzles, and minor platforming (you can latch on to ledges if you can't clear a jump completely).

Well 4-Story damn near mirrors FFXI's races {-elves}, with their own look of course; including cat-girls, and a small Tarutaru looking race called Fairy. However its heavily focused on PvP after lvl 30 I believe it was, so I quit then.

Its not bad, but worth it for free...

MapleStory is free. Starts off with 5 classes that go into sub classes 30+. Warrior/Magician/Archer/Thief and Pirate. They recently released two other classes. Cygnus Knights and the Aran. The CK are more powerful then the 5 original classes but max out at 120 and have elemental attributes, and the Aran is a warrior class that is proficent with polearms and combo attacks. I play off and on and its pretty entertaining a free game.

4Story is the most ridiculous game I've seen in ages. I've been looking through the classes, and to imagine anybody actually using these skills makes me laugh.

Expansion of Fatigue Make an opponent tired and slow the opponent down by asking outrageous questions.

Blow of Silence Silently approach the opponent and deliver a blow for no reason whatsoever.

Spray Sand Spray sand at the opponent's eyes to make the opponent sit down on the spot.

Kicking After using the Spray Sand skill and while the opponent is sitting down, kick and anger the opponent so the opponent makes a mistake.

Ring of Death When your life is in danger, spread deadly poison in your body to instantly maximize your attack power and inflict serious damage on the opponent.\n Your soul will be summoned if you do not drink a Panacea of Purification within 10 minutes from using this

Flame of Binding Reduce the moving speed by increasing the adhesiveness of the ground with high temperature flame.

Buckshot Arrow Concentrate your energy to transform it into an arrow and shoot the arrow at nearby opponents.

Escape Enable yourself to move your bound body by unconsciously moving a little by little.

Yeah, I already did this in another thread, but..

                          [ ] MMO
                          [ ] Free
                          [ ] Good

                          You may only choose two.
