Why don't they ever have entirely new story-lines for the games? Seriously. It's like every sequel is the same thing, but with one tiny extra segment of cutscene and/or battle.

what are you saying. Shippuden's story is very new in the western gaming market at least.

Officially, the current consoles have just entered the Shippuden story (and the anime is still far behind.)

and Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is the only one that tells the first parts of Shippuden all the way up to the Pain arc, more professionally than any other!

This isn't like DBZ where they recycles the same 4 sagas in multiple games. Shippuden is new territory in comparison.
Look at XBox360, the only Naruto games they have take place before Shippuden, same with PS3.

So 1/3 of the boss fight is the boss spamming annoying lines while doing almost nothing, 1/3 is QTE and the last 1/3 consists of cinematics?

That is unfair nitpicking! >.<

There is a lot of gameplay involved too. Notice when he was fighting 3 of the Pains at the sametime (with health bars above their head, not QTE.) ya the crab boss doesn't move much, but this boss battle is done really well! Each boss battles varies how the combat flows, some have more QTE and dialogue than others, but remember it's also telling a story, so presentation makes things even better like the QTEs, which allow actions that wouldn't flow and connect as smoothly if they were done real time
(that's why games like GOW, the more advanced kills and animations are automated after a context sensitive button press.)

it has so much gameplay! look at the 15 minute video! There will be battles that dont even use QTE! There is much to do in towns and travel and stuff, and versus mode, so much gameplay! This isnt some movie game like Dragon's Lair.
