Re: MAG ! Super awesomest game of the year ever ???
How does the game suffer from having so many people on the field at once? People who played Domination said it was hectic, crazy and exciting. The game never had any issues with all those people being on the field at the same time and the servers worked fine the entire time I was playing the open beta, so how was the number a detriment? That's totally ignoring the smaller number game types btw.
And every faction has the same exact voices? When I joined Valor all the voices sounded either American, British or Spanish, to reflect the three countries that made up the army. I would assume the other teams would have something similar. It's probably the same with all the skin tones/faces as well.
S.V.E.R. having tons of modified AKs reflect their status as a rag tag, poorly funded group. AKs are cheap and wide spread, used by tons of russian, asian and middle eastern military groups and an excellent base for more improved weapons. Raven and Valor have much different weapon load-outs to reflect their personal preferences as well. But their personal weapon choices all share similar themes and concepts to help differentiate the factions. I don't know how many weapons S.V.E.R. had, but Valor had the option to unlock and use at least a dozen different guns just in the Beta. Chances are the other sides had similar upgrade trees so right there you have 32 different guns.
While I'm not saying this is the greatest game ever, a lot of those complaints just seem kinda silly seeing as we only got to play around in what amounts to be a tiny demo. But even then we could still use plenty of different weapons and run around in fairly large battlefields to achieve multiple goals. This game delivered exactly what it promised so far and seems like it'll be really fun to get into to me at least.
