    MAG ! Super awesomest game of the year ever ???

    You thought it was another one of those threads, BUT IT'S NOT.


    MAG, a PS3 exclusive, will be released on the 26th of January. It has proceeded through it's beta stages this fall, and will be available as an open beta on the 4th. If you're interested in the open beta, get ready to download about a gig of data.

    I'd just like to know who's interested in playing so that, perhaps, we can coordinate. Players join one of three factions: Raven, based in Vienna, S.V.E.R., based in the Chechen Republic, or Valor, based in Alaska. Each group has their own look. We wont be seeing any cross-faction interaction beyond shooting at each other.

    I've already got a friend on board with me, and we're both considering Raven. If you're unfamiliar with the game, here's a few key videos that might help explain things.

    na just jokin, MAG looks good, but I have played WAY to many shooters lately, I need me some good RPG lovin.

          My running theory is the more people you add to a gaming experience, its douchebaggery increases in proportion. As such, MAG is looking to be a major douchefest only to be outdouched by WoW.

            I just finished the borderlands "story" and did ALL the quests so far.

            While the game was engaging enough for me to see it through the end... why do I leave with this feeling of emptiness?... the game is so shallow.. nothing too impressive for all the hype it is getting.

            MAG? What dis?

                  I enjoyed the beta.. but I too am tired of shooters.. I am trying to finish Dragon Age now then maybe getting Borderlands.

                  But anyway.. I reserved this game, but I probly won't end up picking it up in the long run.

                      Heck yeah, open beta! :D I'm jumping on this.

                      Though, adding into it more, I too am getting tired of shooters... I'll see if it's worth a buy. Go Ravens!

                          How could you even compare MAG to Socom? Cause Zipper used to own Socom?? lol.. It looks nothing like socom. I would say just battlefield+Call of Duty.. or an attempt at CoD.

                            I just realized I hadn't seen the loadout trailer. After watching it, the game looks a bit more complicated than I originally thought. Definently very interesting though and this might actually be the first Multiplayer FPS I pick up for PS3... (Since I don't really have a choice lol)

                              It's not complicated at all.. I just didn't know how to use leadership options once I became a leader till the second time. After that.. piece of cake.
