All you do is run around mindlessly beating up mostly helpless AI while somebody shouts in your ear about stuff that's largely irrelevant to your experience.

I remember on Drakengard, there would always be people shouting about what they were doing on the battlefield, but it was just you and the dragon from what I could see LOL. At least in DW there would be other AI out there even if it was losing horribly.

I saw people playing it at the game store and I wasn't impressed... the speed and the animation look really.... weird. Kenshiro's movement was just too slow and clumsy.... he's supposed to be fast and powerful.

actually the "slowness" gives more oomph to the impact. Plus he does have some fast special attacks! It's selling extremely well in Japan! it's currently 1st place, and even the xbox360 version made it to 7th place on the charts. And many are loving it! fans and newcomers alike.

Some people just have to understand the rhythm and tempo of this game's action.

exciting!!!!!!! There was also a Jagi video, they unlocked like 8 special attacks for him!
That is the first of Shin's stages, so there is sure to be more special attacks to unlock!

No it doesn't give "oomph" impact... it just looks like a poorly animated characters with a very bad timing. Punches don't look strong nor hard, but looks awkward. The same thing you see from later dynasty warriors..... The game's animation is just going down hill.

nuuuu! the animations are greater than before! Some people actually feel it's "overanimated" because there is more recovery time after doing some moves, but that is remedied with the canceling system people discovered to immediately
change actions and combos.

Best opening for the Musou series in 5 years. The last title which sold more in the first week was Dynasty Warriors 5 (SSM4). The first week of Hokuto Musou has also outsold the LTD of most Musou game in the last 5 years except Samurai Warriors 2, Orochi PS2 and Orochi 2 PS2. That's only counting the PS3 version btw.

GoW3 is overrated, it's good but its nowhere near as fun as Hokuto Musou. Plus GoW3 really lacks more playable characters, splitscreen co-op, and other things!
