So i'm pretty sure some of you have seen this, seems pretty old atleast... but i just found it through digg and i raged quite a bit i wanted to throw a pokeball at that guys face.

But yea its pretty funny even if no one's laughing.

I was saying something about Pokemon at work one day and my coworker said some crazy stuff like "I never let my kids watch it because you could never understand what the pokemon were saying, I thought they might be using witchcraft..." I said "Pokemon only say their names....What are you talking about?" I ended up walking away in disgust.

I heard this waaay back. Though by definition, a lot of games ecourage a pursuit of power that sometimes along the way requires the use of dark powers.

Though, by the game's definition, these "dark powers" are not so much evil as they are elemental. But when you're a hyper conservative christian, its bound to be taken out-of-context and instantly becomes "Satanic."

There was this Quaker-ish preacher that would come to my college campus and basically anything and everything was of the devil and sending them to Hell. Long hair, tattoos, piercings, girls wearing pants. The biggest applause that ever happened around this guy was when a freshman walked up to him and said "You make me embarrassed to be a Christian."

My parents are halfway there, they have a hard time coming to grips with fictitious fantasy worlds. I think they only ever let me have The Legend of Zelda because back then, the most sophisticated and noticeable decoration they could give Link's shield was the Cross. Any fantasy realm that was worshiping a goddess was something they couldn't get their heads around was instantly bad for it. Even if it didn't have much to do with anything.

there's flat out gory violence, rape, murder, war, anti-religion, 4chan, pedophilia and so much more indecent content (in entertainment but not limited to) out there and this guy is losing his voice saying you wont go to heaven if you watch pokemon

let this thread not be about the things that it is starting to be about ( extra points if you didnt have to read that twice) and lets just focus on the 2:50~3:00 mark on that vid ok

This would have to be the third or fourth such game that WoTG has published that has been considered satanic or just ungood -- the first being D&D/AD&D and Magic: The Gathering (oh noes! Demon pictures!).

Even as a Christian, I find it completely incomprehensible. It's a game. It's played for fun. I am in no way going to imitate the it by going out into the woods near my house and throw red and white balls at nearby squirrels.

Just like, after playing FFXI, I won't take a spear and a hawk and try to impale a bunny. Not again, anyway.
