I like how when you start the game, if you try to go straight to multiplayer it'll say something like "It is recommended that you play the campaign first." "Would you like to play Multiplayer anyways?" (I got scared and chose campaign.) Played through the training course and then went to MP.

I thought the whole reason anyone played this game was because of the PVP..... and that was it. At least, that's what I've heard from most people who play it.

It's that and all the shyt talking you do while your drinking lol. Yelling at 13 y/o kids..... Halo anyone!?

LOL, I didn't hear much trash talk yesterday except for the 2-3 dudes that got the last kill in the match. (For those that don't know, the winning kill gets a kill cam at the end of the match showing the epic final kill, and everybody is forced to watch it.)

I haven't completed the game yet so I do not know. I can only assume that it is to show how "bad" the bad guy is. Of course it has been mentioned in this thread that they probably could have done something else to create that feeling.
Its a little more than what you're thinking.

Not that I approve of Pirating, but actually the people who pirated it aren't hypocrites at all; Many of us who are boycotting this want to play it but refuse to pay for it. In this sense, people are (illegally) sticking it to Activision right where it hurts.

All I hear is 'Wahhhh. I'm not crying. Wahhhh."

If you want to play it, play it. If you don't, don't. Sometimes things are that simple.

So, remember that grenade spam PSA? You get ONE frag grenade, and two special grenades. What the hell could you possibly spam? You don't even have to choose frag grenades, there are other choices for that slot now, such as a marker used to place your own temporary spawn point. And that 'Joint Operation' title shown? It's still in the game. Who the fuck thought that would actually be a good idea, especially since it's adorned with pot leaves?

There are millions of titles to earn and choose from, each of which will be displayed upon a kill. I can't wait to see all the other stupid shit they came up with. I ran 1 mile and it gave me the title Track Star featuring a picture of a yellow Lamborghini. Wtf? Joint Operation had nothing to do with weed either, I believe I got it by 'protecting' a team mate, which actually means I shot a guy who was shooting another guy.

I was really hoping they would be a little innovatie when it came to team play. Of course, they didn't, go figure. Team deathmatch is still deathmatch where you can only shoot half the people in the game. Ground war is still run around because sitting in any single place is just asking for somebody to be spawned behind you etc.

Servers are down on PS3 "Due to overload" supposedly.. But it coincidentally happened after they patched the trophies so I am going to blame IW for this.. Anyway.. I actually played through the campaign this time and the story wasn't too bad. I don't know if I missed something, but I didn't see any plot holes and the whole thing made sense beginning to end even though I didn't play the first ones campaign. There's a huge plot twist of course but I kinda got that feeling like the one I got from Army of Two.. I mean I didn't see it coming, I had a weird hunch and wasn't surprised.

                      LMFAO, what is this...i don't even... ??

So after playing the game, and finishing Campaign mode, I'll say that it was everything i was expecting.

                      What I was expecting:

                      1. New weapons
                      2. New maps
                      3. Tom Clancyish story line
                      4. Great Graphics
                      5. ???
                      6. Fun

I may blast a few peoples opinions in these spoilers below, don't take it personal:

About the "Airport Level", and i'm warning you now, i go the hell off in this one.

Graphics, and this one isn't nearly as intense or personal as the last one ^^

                      The story, possible spoilers

So yeah, this game, like the first one, were kinda personal for me. They do almost too good of a job re-creating what it's like to look at someone as nothing more than a target in your sights. Wars all fun when you can hit the green x, and go make a sandwich and watch "dancing with the stars". It's not nearly so fun when your actually in it. I take it personally when they this company does their damndest to make a piece of entertainment, and try their best to make it seem as realistic as possible, and then their customers complain about it, saying it wasn't necessary, it was offensive, etc.

I seem to have missed the boat on this one. I keep hearing everyone singing this game's praises, but I don't see what all the hype is about. It's yet another FPS in a market over-saturated with FPS games, so what is it bringing to the table that warrants the amount of hype it has received?

That's why we like Shepard, because we always get epic random quotes like:

                              Shepard FTW!

Did some more playing/unlocking last night in MP and OMFG unlocked the Heartbeat Sensor! It comes in really handy when there is no UAV online. Hell, it came in handy when the UAV was online and for some reason didn't detect this guy running toward me. Unlocked a bunch of Assault Rifles and what not, gonna get on tonight and play some more.

                                Cid,

What do you want from a FPS? I guess my point with that question is, what sort of inovations are you wanting to see?

I guess for me, it get's my praise for it's balance. It's graphics. It's attention to detail. It's realism. I guess that last one is probably what i apprecaite the most. the sound of a magazine getting smacked into the well. The haze of a holographic site as you sight in a target. The uter disaray that having a gun fight in a village does to the buildings. The way the breaching charges splinter the doors and the way times seems to slow down when you clear a room.
The feeling of uter betrayl i felt when one of the key plot twists occured.
The resolve I felt when i watched washington burn.

See here is where i think alot of this praise is coming from. The military. me and my buddies can litterly call out zones, and overwatches and strategies and counter strategies and cover one anothers weaknesses, and lay down suppresive fire for our buddies to repositon. Yeah you can do that in Halo or gears, but it's a bit different when you have fucking engery swords, and chainsaw bayonets.
Me and all my military buddies train these type of scenarios, we sprint 50 meters and have to take a prone postion and hit a target @ 100m's. That's how you fight real war. The creators of this game hit the nail on the head.
That was what the hype was about to me, and for me atleast, it's lived up to it.
