Anyone else going to the midnight release? I paid my Prestige Edition off Thursday and I am about to head up to to the mall to get in line for the release.

Picked it up at midnight. Played it for several hours. It's fun, but somewhat overhyped IMO. Graphics are good but not out-of-this-world. Gameplay feels very much like CoD4. Storyline is cool in single player, but that's not really a significant change from CoD4. Haven't ventured into the wilds of multiplayer yet so can't pass judgment on those aspects yet.
The midnight launch itself was insanity though. My local GameStop had some 700+ pre-orders for the game, and at least 1/3 of those people showed up.

Man I was up till 5 playing it then had to get up at 8:30 for my fiancé dr. Appointment.. I'm sitting in the waiting room suffering, but soon as I get home I'm getting back on. I went straight to multiplayer lol. It's totally different.. I'll have to disagree with task about the graphics, but I'm also on an LED TV with HDMI.. Online has so much more content.. Only disapointment is no trophies.. 360 had achievements which is bs, but no trophies for ps3?!? Single-player mode is dumb, and it hasn't made any sense so far. Why did I just walk through an airport with a bunch of guys as they shot everybody? Now I'm trying to prove it was them? Uh? Why do we have to prove it? Why don't we just kill him? Why didn't I just kill him in the first place?
All the levels are basically people shouting at you over the radio because tons of shit is happening all at the same time, but you're basically sitting in a corner trying not to die because everybody has the best aim in the world and they're all shooting at you. I watched the airport level, stopped at the three minute mark.
Fuck this sick piece of shit.
Bad enough they did so much damage to it as a PC release, but now even GTA feels like high-brow entertainment.
