Played for a few hours today after getting tired of losing to lag in Demon's Souls.

It's kind of cool but not really the kind of game I enjoy. As I previously mentioned WRPG usually aren't my thing and this game is no exception. It's not a bad game.. just not for me.

I would also really like the 25 gigs of hard drive space that it's using back.

25 gigs?? How does that compute? It ships on one DVD on the Xbox 360, which has about 7 GB of usable space... I'm sure the PC version has better textures and whatnot, but not 18 GB worth.

Is there no uninstall option? Getting space back from a game is usually pretty easy in my experience.

It's actually about 22GB, and that's including the ISO file.

I would assume everything is just massively compressed for the console version.

Ya I had to burn some anime so I could have room to d/l the game. I was NOT expecting it to be that large. I really haven't had the time to test it much but I don't know how much I like the script thing for controlling my pt members. And my god damn archer is supposed to be using his bow but runs in and melees. lol

Change his/her behaviour to Ranged, TGM.

Go in to Tactics then look on the upper right corner of the Tactics panel, it's there.

Careful though, the AI in the game for rangers is weak, they sometimes don't move even if there's something blocking their arrows, so they just sit there shooting at objects. So just pay attention to them.

Hahaha...
I had that (Almost) same issue with Fran from FFXII. She was using a Bow and was healer. (I controlled Vaan most of the time with his Katana.). Shed just sit there getting hit by a monster and still keep shooting, not even bother to run away from the monster as the others took care of it lol.

Back to topic though.

IU have this game comeing in the mail atm. I really want to play this game. Is it anything like how the combat system is in Last Remnant?

It has absolutely nothing to do with Last Remnant what-so-ever, it's light-years away actually...

This is much more like Neverwinter Nights and a little like FFXII.

I wasn't even asking if it had anything to do with the LAst Remnant. Was just wondering what the battle system was lol.

Yep Bal, figured it out eventually but just not taking to the game and now with MW2 out I don't think I'll be playing it.

Holy Bajesus!
I got this game for Christmas and lost track of time.
The interface is incredibly smooth. A hell of a lot nicer than I remember NWN being. Rock solid story immersion, compelling environment and I haven't run out of things to do in a long time. It's also nice to see a game that makes me wary of frivolously spending my gold, especially early on.

This really is the successor to Baldur's Gate. It's a game I'll be replaying for years to come.

So far I'm rolling Rogue and backstabbing the hell out of everything in sight while wasting a lot of points on trap-making and poison-making. Coercion IV is entirely too awesome.

lol. Its even nicer when you get haste, and use two daggers with Max + damage to darkspawn, and max +back stab Damage. You will just DESTROY the darkspawn. lol

I don't think I'm gonna end up with Haste. I roll with Morrigan and there's better stuff for her. I'd imagine it would be pretty sweet to stack Momentum with Haste while backstabbing though. I'll put that on my list of things to do on another character.

So far I've mainly been stacking +% damage on backstab gear. Picking up Assassin has proved useful as I can now just stack Dex and Cunning without worrying about Strength at all.

Yea, I didi the Assassin for my character as well when I first started. I also had Wynne, Allistar, and the Dog when I did the first play. Thats the main reason as to why I had haste because Wynne was close to having HAste when she first joined anyways. Theres not that many useful spells IMO though.
