Best 2D FF in my opinion. And more importantly it doesn't have any sort remake/highly enhanced ports (I through IV), sequel/prequel games (FFIV, VII x4, X, and XII) or sequel films/OVAs (FFV, FFVII.) And obviously going from 16-bit 2D to 3D would be a much bigger jump than going from low-polygon 3D to HD 3D, especially when most of FFVII's environments were pre-rendered. Oh yeah and it's not overrated =P

FFVI is great as hell, even though I only played it on my emulator....I still haven't beaten FFVII even though I still own it on PS1....

They need to port some old stuff over to the 360....

Oh.. Is it out for PSP? I may need to do what Ferno did and download an emulator. Cause if it's on PSP, I gotta buy a new one cause my shit got stolen.

FFVI isn't on PSP.

its last appearance was on Game Boy Advance, prior to that it was Final Fantasy Anthology for PSX.

I find the artist in you to be pretty questionable, and not just because of this statement.

They went from a moving water-painting piece of sheer beauty to cell-shading. If that isn't a crime against art idk what is. And it looks like the game will utilize a lot more still scenes with the characters set into the background and the voice work playing over it. At least in the original when they did this the characters were rendered separately from the BG and moved.

Valkyria Chronicles was cel-shaded. If you can't see that I can't help you.

Lack of worthwhile sales on PS3 led to the move to PSP, blame your gamer friends for not partaking in it when they had the chance to. They're too obsessed about their zombie shooters and military combat FPS to care. That or they just Gamefly everything.

At least now the series has a place where they can keep the budget lower and make more money.

Yes but it wasn't cartoony like virtually every other cell-shaded game ever made. Cell shading has gotten progressively better I'll admit, but VC just has such a unique, canvas quality level of beauty to it I just can't get over. And hell, it's even one of the game's major selling points! It says as such on the back of the box and the official website!

And yes, can we please get PE, Vagrant Story and for the love of god Valkyrie Profile on the PSN? ^^ Also even though I own it, The Legend of Dragoon would also be nice ^^

Ya I'd love a LoD2. I loved the game and have played it multiple times. In fact, I'm currently playing it on PSP and couldn't be happier with a portable version!
