Yeah he's got his own issues, but at what point have you ever seen him pissing and moaning going "oh woe is me" >_>? He's pretty fucking bad ass.

Nero on the other hand, he's a little bitch (and a very bad dante clone/vergil replacement)


He is a tad on the cheesy side, but that's why we love him; he kicks ass and takes names.

Balfree, I never say things right way the. I can't just say "wow that's cheesy." I have to say a normal thing in a different way because I'm out to amuse myself and I'm unemployed so I have to do that a lot.

'Bbq, stop defending games that act exactly like every other game and say that's a good thing (maybe I'm a bit harsh on DQ8). Just you wait 'til I finally start playing SMT games. If I find out they're all exactly the same, I will kill your Internet.

Malacite, the Emo Dante is in DMC2. If you didn't notice, why exactly do you hate DMC2?

Also, I'd still say DMC2 is my least favorite. But only because it's neither the dynamite show starter that the original was (wow. what a revolution of action gaming) nor does it have all the awesome gameplay additions of 3. It's simply a tweaked version of the original with an old Dante for a main char. And the music to the 2nd stage is still awesome. And I've barely played 4.

Malacite, the Emo Dante is in DMC2. If you didn't notice, why exactly do you hate DMC2?

Dante had like... 1, 2 lines at most in DMC2. He was fucking mute almost (if not) the entire time, so how can you label him Emo?

And I hate DMC2 because it's a piece of shit in every conceivable manner; Bad story, bad gameplay, piss-poor level design, retarded boss fights that actually penalize you for trying to melee them, the list goes on.
It is the poster child of what not to do with a sequel, and for a while Capcom was seriously considering abandoning the franchise. Thank god DM3 prevailed.

Even if you rationalize that DMC2 Dante can't be considered "emo", he's still a walking fucking cliche. Silent brooding characters are what created the emo kids who think they're so cool.

Ah but this is more of a new team not knowing wtf they were doing and thus damaging a very awesome character's reputation in the process.

And yeah the wall-run was pretty cool but also absolutely useless in just about every situation. Honestly though, if you got your machine guns fully upgraded you could pretty much just stand back and shoot everything (all but maybe the last boss or two) to death without taking any damage if you are any good at dodging. And of course the way they set it up this actually would keep your combo going, which made it absurdly easy to rack up a SSS and maintain it for as long as there were enemies on screen.

In DMC 1 3 & 4 you had to work for those epic scores rather than be a lame douche bag just doing the same move over & over & over. And how bitching was it to use a fallen enemy as a skateboard while simultaneously spinning around Ebony & Ivory blazing away? Dante.
