No one is looking at the big picture here.. Japan gets pretty much the original version of FFXIII and we get stiffed cause SE wants to be "fair" to the 360. How is that fair to us in anyway? I'm not just talking about PS3 owners, but everyone else but Japanese. Someone needs to ask SE that! Ask them.. How is that "fair" SE? How?

FFXIII has been, and will be the same on both, it was never "changed" only difference is the rendering methods and resolutions.

The real question is "why is it such a big deal?" No matter how you look at it the graphics won't suck and odds are the localization will be A-OK.

This sort of "I'm getting shafted" (key word there) thing is precisely what I was bitching about earlier. When did the graphics of the game and optional language options start mattering more than the game itself? How do those things matter so much that you say SE is being unfair? "Unfair" is not getting the game stateside at all, or Japan getting some Final Mix thing with all sorts of extra bosses and content.

Many things to say about what I think about this:

- Can't really know until I see both games in action.

- The demo does indicate they aren't using the PS3 at full capacity, but can't really make a decision based on how the demo looks because it's just a preliminary version. And things could have changed significantly in the following months. (There's always that warning about it that appears when playing demos)

- Considering the difference in power between consoles and media something as simple as both games using the same models/textures and having similar video quality for cutscenes would be more than enough to justify a "PS3 owners got shafted!!" protest.

Simply because that would mean they indeed developed for the lowest common denominator (360) from the begining. But even then I probably wouldn't join the protest anyway and instead simply refrain from buying the game, if it was as bad as some people are speculating. Just like I did with games like Ghostbusters and what I would've done with GTA IV had I known how subpar the PS3 version was compared to the 360 one.

- I wonder if SE would go as far as to only shaft the NA version of the game and leave the Japanese version intact. I seriously doubt it but you never know. Either way it's looking like I might go with the Japanese version regardless (if I ever buy it that is.) Specially now that my japanese level is high enough to play RPGs full of kanji.

- I'm more interested in the japanese versions of Agito and Versus so that's probably the main reason I'm sort of indiferent about what XIII turns out to be in the end. If worse comes to worst I'll just buy tons of posters of Lightning since she is so hot and forget about the game.

What's one of the biggest things that people ask when they're about to date someone? Are they hot? Do they look good? etc.. You can almost compare that to a videogame since we rate games based on looks, and gameplay.. We have these next gen systems that are supposed to blow our minds! And We were showed stunning images of this game when it was exclusive, and PS3 really needed a game like XIII to show this.

But for me, it's more of the fact that I have to wait longer to play this game I been waiting for for so long just so they can downgrade the game for interest of fairness? Please.. There is no doubt in my mind that the game wont be great regardless if it was PSone graphics, or full 100% blu-ray. It's just when they said, "to be fair" that kinda made me speak up.

I seriously wouldn't put it passed them. If they said they were going to leave the Japanese version alone but not ours, that would piss off the masses and I bet they're already tired of hearing us bitch so they waited to release the Japanese version a few months ahead of ours.

But that is also just my speculation. I could very well be entirely wrong about the whole thing.

I will say the same thing about dateing as I do video games, looks are not everthing.

You said it right there.. As long as she looks good. She doesn't have to look like a supermodel but as long as she looks good right? A lot of the time people will choose off of looks, then get to know their personality. If I game LOOKS good.. people demo it, if the gameplay(personality)is good, then it's a keeper

Lol.. Like I said.. A lot of the time with attractiveness, it has to do with looks which leads to getting to know a person. Same applies with videogames.. movies.. cars.. lol. But! Everyones idea of good looking is different of course.
