    On the subject of the Gamecube: Tales of Symphonia. That game is damn near impossible to find in the UK. I've been looking for that game for nearly 18 months now with no luck.I can't remember what happened to my original copy of the game, I think it was sold, but I miss being able to play that game.

      The PS2 port never made it outside of Japan either damn it, and since Nintendo doesn't seem to want to put NGC games on the VC...

        It's not a matter of 'want', it's a matter of 'can'. VC/WiiWare have a size limit of 50MB, and that can't really be expanded much because of how the Wii is designed. Very few, if any, GameCube games fit in that space. Then, once they have the game file on the Wii, they have to figure out how to run it. As far as I can see, when the Wii is running Gamecube games, it is a gamecube; even so far as not responding to Wii remotes. It can't save to the Wii's system memory, and it requires a gamecube controller plugged into it. It's not emulated. I'm not sure they'd even be able to run the game off the SD card without making significant changes.

I think Japan got one, but it was just the four games in one unit.
          Here Here. What a great series of games. I would say other than .hack i would love to see reprints of the GBA pokemon games for the UK. I am always finding US versions of them everywhere but not a single UK one. Sure you can use the Park thingy on the DS games to transfer pokemon over, even if the GBA one is US, vut you can only do that once every 24 hours anyway and must have 6 in your box. Though i've no idea if they have been reprinted for the DSI in the download content or not so who knows.

            That's why you see PS1 games on the PSN, because they've been formatted to run on both PS3 and PSP. Kazuo Hirai said just prior to E3 that he is planning on massively expanding the PSN Store's library of games, so I'd expect to see more classics (maybe even some PS2 games finally) on the PSN. This is great on 2 levels;
            Great on two fronts for Sony, making us buy the games we already have, just to be able to play them on PS3. There's still practically no PS2 offerings on PSN at all, that's partially because they'd have to murder the PS2 games' resolution just to get them to work on PSP.

            Ever play the GTA PSP games on PS2? Granted, GTA games on PS2 were not that pretty to start with, but the PSP ports are blurry to boot. Unless they can make the PS2 games look PS2-quality on both platforms, I dunno if I'd want them anyway

            But I realize the big three are just going to do this kind of shit until full-on digital distribution arrives. They'll nickel-and-dime the old stuff out to us as they feel like it rather than doing it quickly. Where's my GBA games on DSi? Nintendo's still mum on that one.

              Most PS2 games wouldn't work on PSP anyway, thanks to the controls.

                I've been playing PS2 games on my PSP's for ages. Screw buying something I already own.

                        I believe the point is "are you sure those are PS2 games"? As far as I know, the PSP is very much like the original Playstation, but with a wide screen and a CPU that can run ten times as fast, which is why you can bundle up ISOs to play on PSP.

                        But PS2 games? (without having a re-compiled/ported version of the game)

                          Ya sorry the heat is melting my damn brain. (100 degrees in WISCONSIN!? COME ON!!) I meant PS games like you can d/l on the PS3 network. I haven't been keeping track of homebrew accomplishments though so who knows maybe they've gotten that far!

                            Yeah that was my #1 disappointment about the PSP-GO, still no fucking dual analog.

                            WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU WAITING FOR SONY? (it had to be said)

                              It's not really that surprising. They don't want to segment the userbase yet.

                              There's a big difference between releasing a new controller (like the dual shock), and requiring people to rebuy the platform for new features. If anything, they should've added a second pair of shoulder buttons that only works for PS1 games.
