    FFXI Role Playing in Second Life

    I'm here for is to see if anyone here on the forums plays Second Life. A friend and I are opening up a Final Fantasy XI roleplaying group on there, and we're looking for players, and ideas for the sim.

    Currently, we(by we, I mean I) have built an almost exact replica of Bastok Mines for the group. But, since Bastok isn't that popular in-game, (and I think it would be a horrible RP hub) we were thinking of tearing it all down and building a different city. (Oh, we even have a resident goblin, too, complete with bomb! >.>)If you guys would come and RP here, which city do you think would be the best one to use as an RP hub? We're open to suggestions.

    (Just putting this out there -- but if you guys DO play SL, or are interested, I'm currently making a ton of FFXI-based costumes and non-scripted weapons for use in the sim, or just if you want to have them. They aren't free in-game, but I'd like to say they're pretty well made. ^^)

        he owner of the Sim and I discussed it and we've decided on Jeuno. It's a neutral town, there's a bunch of important people and organizations there, not to mention important NPCs from all over the world visit there on a regular basis. On the more commercial side of things, Jeuno's actually got real storefronts and commerce areas, so we can rent out vendor spaces as well. And maybe if we don't use up too much space, we might even be able to get some Mog Houses to rent out. ^^


        EDIT: As for screenshots, I'll see if I can get some before we tear down Bastok this weekend to make way for Jeuno.

          Why second life? i thought that was just full or weirdos and pedophiles.

              We messed around with SL in a class I took a few years back. We had to stop because I managed to get a hold of some weapons and started selling them to my classmates. I built me a fort to protect those that were loyal to me, but we started getting complaints from the SL people that we were shooting the people on the territories next to ours. Those were the people I got the guns from.

                    On topic: No I dont play Second Life, FFXi takes up enough of my time as is I second the motion to see some pics of the area you created tho
