  • What game or series have you put the most hours into?

FFXI aside, I have put in a huge number of hours on the three Disgaea games.

Disgaea Hour/Afternoon of Darkness has amassed around 900 hours between the PS2, PSP and DS versions of the game.

Not sure how much time I spent on Disgaea 2. Put a fair amount of time onto the Japanese release and got to some reasonably high level characters. Bought the US release to get the story and promptly lost interest.

Disgaea 3 stands at in excess of 500 hours. US release took around 400 of those (game out there well before UK release). I was getting high level items duplicated and had one Mage maxxed out on levels (180,000+). When the UK version came down in price I bought that and have put around 100 hours into it (so far). Finally getting some reasonably powerful kit for my best (Lvl 5000+) Mage. I will return to it before too long I suspect, especially with my frsutrations with FFXI!

Mainline Pokemon handheld games. By a long run.

Followed by FFT (the original.) There's so many goddamned ways to go about clearing this game...and since I have a habit of testing shit and min/maxing...

I must admit to have played nearly every normal Pokemon game to a greater or lesser extent. I do have them all (so to speak!!) on Game Boy through to DS. Currently about 2 Gym badges into Platinum having bought the US release of that.

I still need to get Platinum. Well, I need to get a lot of things. Which really translates to me needing money. I have a friend that maxed out his clock in Pokemon Blue, too.

Oh yeah, I've also devoted a very large amount of hours to Dance Dance Revolution, if that counts.

But I lied. I've spent a lot more hours playing Super Smash Bros Melee than I've spent on Tactics.

Also, Panel de Pon spinoffs (Tetris Attack, Pokemon Puzzle League, Planet Puzzle League.) That about covers it I think.

I haven't kept track, but the most recent series I've put the most hours into is anything under the SMT franchise that was released on PS2.

As far as Pokemon went I only ever played the original Red and Silver games, clocking in at 70+ both times. The critter-collecting elements of both Pokemon and SMT are what make them interesting. With Final Fantasy games, I have clocked over 100 on certain installments, but not all of them because sidequest content between all the games isn't exactly equal in quality.

Definitely Monster Hunter Freedom 2 and 2nd G. Converting my save from Freedom 2 to 2nd G erased my total play time, but I had ~270 hours before converting and now have around 120 hours, so a total of almost 400 hours into this game.

Hard to say. Up there, though, MGS. 1-3 probably took me around 12 hours the first time I beat them, and 10 hours afterwards. At three playthroughs each, plus almost repeating MGS1's disk two because I pressed the wrong button, it comes out to right around 100 hours, not counting time spent game overing (which is a bit), or screwing around on VR missions and the like (which is maybe four or five hours). Add Portable Ops on top, and I've probably sunk around 125 hours into it. The real time is going to be once I have the money to get a nice HDTV setup and a PS3, and play through everything again (probably around 35-40 hours, depending on PO), and then play through MGS4. Plus MGS4's online mode, and doubtlessly replaying MGS4 (and probably 2) after I beat it to help clear up the story. I wouldn't be surprised if I've spent over 300 hours on it by the end of this year.

Persona 3 FES wins big time for single game. I haven't played any other SMT games yet, but I've already got around 100 hours on that game alone. About 70ish for The Journey (and that's on the short side. If you go into all of the side quests and get into the fusion system, I've heard of people going twice that long), and the high twenties for The Answer. Those times also don't count numerous game overs. Definitely one of the best $30 you can spend on a game in terms of longevity.

Other than the FF series, really nothing. And possibly Kingdom Hearts I & II. I don't really play a lot of other games, though I'd like to.

Even without all the time spent on ffxi, it would be FF series. I own them all, and played through them all more than once.

Other than that i would say possibly the sonic hedgehog series, when i was a kid or maybe the soul blade/caliber series.

There are plenty of other game series i've played through such as the DMC 1-4 and MGS 1-4, and many more.

Hmm, I have but a fair ammount of time in Final Fantasy but I think it is far from the most. Hmm I think Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross becauser Of the time I replayed both but new game + doesn't save total time played so I cant say. I Sinked alot of time into front missions as well. But when it comes down to time excluding ff11 I would have to assume it is between need for speed games and armored core, followed closely by street fighter.

Can't give you an hour count onhand or offhand because I used to leave my systems on lol. Disgaea Series (2 and 3), Final Fantasy Series (VII, VIII, XI, X), Mario (Mario Kart, Mario RPG, Mario Allstars (1,2,3, Lost Levels), Super Mario World, Super Mario 64. Megaman (1, 2, 3, 7, X), Pokemon (Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal?, Snap) OMFG Super Scope 6 (SS6 Game, and that Yoshi game.) There may be more but if there are I'll list them later.

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armored_Core"]Armored Core[/ame]. The series started back on the original PS1 and has all of 12 sequals and one hand held version to it's name. The majority of which I not only played all the way through at least twice, but made sure to get every part and unlock every secret in every one I've played. But doing all that is nothing compared to the sheer amount of time spent building, coloring, testing and customizing(the emblem maker had an MSpaint like program...which took a lot of time to make some great emblems) an army of unique robots to play with. Throw in those nights spent with friends doing nothing but vs mode and it's a lot of time killed.

With the current AC game, I've played through it no less then 5 times (most missions are sadly short) and created 14 different robot designs, each one with a unique build, detailed coloring, decals, emblems and extensively tested throughout repeated missions. And since it has online mission Co-Op and up to 8 VS mode, it's just going to eat away at my time as I can easily play it for hours on end.

Sadly, it's such a cult game, it's hard to find other people who play it outside of (the very slow) AC specific forums.

I've wanted to get into Armored Core for years, thanks to Tips and Tricks. But at this point, I don't want to get such an open ended timesink for PS2, and there's nothing on Wii, so I'll continue to wait.

True has a cult following but it is the uncontested king of mecha games. That with in itself is preety sad considering how many mecha fans there are and the lack of competetion Armored core has ever had to mech games. But one day Armored Core may be main stream, I am just glad it was at least given a decent review for 4 and For Answers. Even though they give craptastical reasons its not a great game like well the ground isn't really that preety which is a reason they docked 2 points dropping it to 8/10 review but what ever.

Edit: Well Feba I wish I had a Wii for the new no more heroes. The first one I loved and if i still had a gamecube I would most likely get killer7 instantly. Suda51 games are so fun to me.
