    MvC2 for PSN and XBA Finally Confirmed ^^

    Kotaku - Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Confirmed With HD, Online Support, Demo Coming - Capcom

    It's been rumored. It's been practically verified. Now it's announced: Marvel VS Capcom 2 will be coming to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 this summer with a new visual filter and online matching modes. The game, which was developed for the PS3 and 360 by Foundation 9 and is based on the Dreamcast code, will sell on the Playstation Network Store for $15 and on Xbox Live for 1,200 Microsoft Points.
    During their event in Monte Carlo last week, Capcom said that a demo of the game will be coming to the Playstation Network on April 30 in North America and shortly thereafter in the UK. No demo for the 360 was announced.
    It features an optional visual filter that smooths out the game's graphics and new online modes, including Ranked Matches and the Quarter matches found in Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, which allows up to four people to watch and chat while two others fight. It also features widescreen support with the gameplay in a 4:3 field, but the viewing area expanded.
    The best part? No unlockables in the game. All 56 characters are accessible from the get go.
    The original, and this latest version, features brawlers from the Capcom and Marvel universes. It also features 3 on 3 tag-teammatches and four button controls.

        Hmmm.... I was already thinking about maybe getting an X360 for Star Ocean in a month or two. But what the heck is a Microsoft Point?

        I used to play this on a friend's Dreamcast; it was fun, but as far as skill depth goes, not quite up there with Capcom vs. SNK 2 or the Soul Calibur games. Flashy as hell, though. :D

        Still hoping for Arcana Heart 2 to be brought over to the US; some importers claim it's not arcade perfect, but if you don't live near a city big enough to support arcades, it's a home system version or nothing.

          I used to play this on a friend's Dreamcast; it was fun, but as far as skill depth goes, not quite up there with Capcom vs. SNK 2 or the Soul Calibur games. Flashy as hell, though. :D
          Have you ever seen high level MvC2 tourney gameplay? I'd say MvC2 is the most technically/dexterity-demanding fighter out there right now. Of course, it's also very unbalanced and the game revolves around the top tiers almost exclusively, but still.

            OMG I have this for the PS2 but I would SOOOOOO get it for my 360 w00ts!!!! So while we are on that topic, those who still play the game........what are your top three characters?

              This is nice and all, but I'm not that thrilled.

              If Capcom should ever release Power Stone 1 or 2 on PSN/XBLA on the other hand.... well, hory shit! Also, KOJIMA IS CONSIDERING MAKING ZOE3 OMFG!!! ^^ Saw an article over at Joystiq, he's currently gauging potential interest in a PS3 ZoE3 ^^

                  POWER STONE HD COLLECTION! I'd buy it.

                  The sad thing is MvC2 will be cheaper through PSN or XBL than the actual PS2 and Xbox games are. Last time I saw it in gamestop, it costed 79.99 Used.

                      It's funny because the PS2 version has more glitches and isn't arcade perfect. Unfortunately for most people the good version was the DreamCast version.

                        I was always Ken/Charlie/Guile. Sometimes I'd toss one of those out and put Wolverine in. I'd always keep Guile since his Team Super drew oppenents in. Kinda nasty when Wolvie is there with him.

                        That aside, Is till want a Marvel Vs. DC Universe game after all these years. Amazed it still hasn't happened yet. No one wanted MK Vs. DCU >.>;

                          I use Mega Man (cool guy and builds lots of gauge), Tron Bonne (high damage assist, chips a lot of damage on block too) and Hiyakeshita aka Suntan/Dark Sakura (has Akuma's Ashura Warp, and chips a lot of damage with her Shinkuu Hadouken clone super, works well with Tron Bonne).

                          I used to use Morrigan, Felicia, Rubyheart, and Hayato too, but they're too weak in general to use against anyone I know.

                            Interesting.

                            Don't know if I will be buying it because I am terrible at regular fighting games and I know how fast paced MvC2 is so I would play even worse, but I will likely end up playing it on a friends ps3 anyway.
