EA ramps up the realism in Need for Speed: Shift | The Car Tech blog - CNET Reviews
Need for Speed: Shift - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Articles about the new Need for Speed: Shift. It seems as if they are now trying to make NFS into Gran Turismo with the realism. It sounds interesting, but I haven't liked the last slew of NFS games because they all felt almost exactly the same to me: Most Wanted, Carbon, ProStreet, and Undercover. My favorite Need for Speeds games were NFS: Underground 1 and 2.

Also there's a NFS MMO coming out, I might be interested in this though.

Need for Speed: Nitro - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

NFS Nitro seems to be a possible Burnout type feel from what the article says about it.

    Re: Need For Speed

I've mostly been disappointed with the games after NFS: Porsche Unleashed. Most Wanted was a lot of fun though though I still haven't tried out Underground.

I wouldn't like NFS going realistic. Half of the fun of the series was to simply go as fast as you can and have fun doing so. I'm not too sure how well a highly realistic NFS would go after playing Pro Street
