Updataru: Ok, if you've visited this site recently, that mushroom is getting WAY bigger than it was when I first posted this. Whatever's happening, either the flash has been expanded, or the size of the vibrating fungus is somehow correlated with how close they are to release of... whatever. Still odd, whatever it is. Clicking the "U" also takes you to a DS site in Japanese. I'll assume that whatever is being advertised is a Nintendo DS game made by Sega.

Holy crap! I had my volume turned way up (well my husband does it and forgets to turn it back down actually) and I clicked on that friggin mushroom. That "jingle" is brain piercing when you are wearing a headset with the volume maxed!

OK... its some WiiWare game.

It's 8-bit, has mushrooms, turtles, warp pipes, 1ups, floating bricks and has some chick in a castle that need saving (but is probably in another castle).

But it also has no Mario, a cowboy hero with shotgun who's not as specialized with jumping, men dressed up as moose and bulls and super saiyan lions.

So its Mario-esque with some random weird shit.

This might be a good thing, though. Their developers sucking so hard may be explained by their depression at having to code for Genesis while all the cool kids were on SNES.

Wow, that really went in a direction I wasn't expecting from the vibrating mushroom. WTF is up with the 8-bit guys with the moose heads? Also, apparently one of those guys is naked. Why do they all have phallic shaped "outies"? Between this game and most of anime, I'm starting to wonder if bombing Japan during WWII did something weird to the Japanese. Turned them into people like those from "Utica, Syracuse or Schenectady - towns where people have something a little off about them". Maybe Patterson should recruit the next New York Senator from Japan. I recommend Metal Gear's Hideo Kojima, that guy's got some serious issues, he'd probably fit in fine.
