I could see them doing a Moscow game. Especially if they tried to loosely tie it in with 4. The older parts definately have unique architecture they could work with.

Yeah, I kinda considered a game set around Moscow/St. Petersburg. They could do some interesting stuff if they set it in the early 90s, around the breakup of the USSR.

DTF: Have you ever played GTA? It went to LONDON in its expansions, not Vice City. The reason the Stories series followed the same path as the PS2 games is because it was a spin off of them. GTA4 is not in the same 'universe', and shouldn't follow the same path.

I don't think he's talking about the expansions.

Grand Theft Auto is made up of a series of levels each set in one of the three cities in the game (Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas). In each level, the player has a target number of points to achieve, and five lives to attain the score.

In the orignal GTA you started out in LC ->VC ->SA if I remember correctly there were like 6 areas and 2 of each of them were in each of those areas. I think that is why they originally made the PS2 games and "stories games" (that I never played) follow the same way, GTA3:LC->VC->SA. He's saying if it follows the same pattern that it followed in the first game (GTA), GTA3-SA Series, and Stories Series, that it'll be Vice City next. I wouldn't recommend it though, I'd like to see how they'd do a London or Tokyo. I liked GTA2 as well, but the gangs in the game were trippy.

I was referring to the original game which featured all three areas but I was mistaken as San Andreas followed Liberty City. It's been a while since I played that one.

Personally, I'd like to see another state to explore a la SA. Scale it to fit snuggly onto the nextgen hardware we have now. Imagine if you go drive outside of GTA4's Liberty City and head down the interstate and exit off into a small rural town, or drive further to another large metro area.

ps. also gta needs destructible terrain, physical dismemberment of people, and maybe kids to run over.

Not saying R* wouldn't do it, but I got a feeling if they did, the next time a kid does something stupid it'll give the parents and the media one more reason to blame GTA. Even though it was most likely because the parents were stupid enough to buy it for the kids in the first place. Its just funny on Gamefaqs how many topics you see on "My mom was gonna buy me this game, but she heard there was full frontal nudity in it so she decided not to buy it." (Mass Effect) That's a bad example since its a blatant lie created by the media lmao.

Just FYI, GTA4: Lost and Damned expansion for GTA4 comes out next tuesday. 1600MS Points or roughly 19.99. You'll be able to download it via XBL or I noticed Gamestop has flyers that you can buy it there.

DLC is the only reason I would consider a brick (since Sony doesn't want my money), but haven't seen anything that would push me that low so far. And then again don't even have the free time to even consider buying even a Wii yet anyway.

Burnout car handling would be awesome in Liberty City, as would GTA4 online with players creating content (as in making use of interiors from all those hundreds of unused buildings LBP style.

It would be nice if players could simply upload their designs to the GTA4 site for download.
