Re: Miyamoto-san what are you up to now!?

Not a bad idea. I like the idea of being able to see how a developer of the game would play it.

The whole "scenes" idea is nice too, I normally like to have a separate save file from just before the end of every game in case I feel like fighting the final battle/just watching the ending again, so that would save me some space by being able to just select that scene again.

As for the whole "omg more easy mode for the casuals," eat a dick. This kind of information was always a few mouse clicks away anyway, and watching someone else be pro doesn't turn you into a pro.

This and the original Final Fantasy are destined to go hand-in-hand.
FF1 (NES edition) isn't even Nintendo Hard, it's just overall poor game design, mostly from lack of information available to the player. I'm sure it was great for its time, sure, but still.

I do that too and for old games it's horrible. It's hard to devote save files to the good bits when you've only got 3 save slots and you're already using 1 of them to save your progress. It's even worse in games like Chrono Trigger because you not only have limited save slots, you have New Game+ files to consider too.

also guys, I have a zippo, I think I am going to take the pilot light off my stove.

plus since I have a radio out in the car, I think I am going to sell my bose. totally the same thing.

Youtube's not going to let me play my favorite part of the game. We all have some boss fight we like to replay.

Am I the only one who would like to see this implemented as a FRAMEWORK ONLY in the games; with the videos, hints, etc. being downloaded separately-- and the actual work on those not being handled by the development team, but by strategy guide groups (Brady, prima, etc.)?

Keeps game resources from being spent on this, keeps it tightly integrated, but not so tightly that people jump right to it without thinking.

Heh I have save files dedicated to certain parts of MGS4, like oh the last part of chapter 5.... /grin

Best part of the game IMO, maybe even the series.
