You don't need to solder anything to play imported games on your Wii. Pretty sure Armando already mentioned it here or in another similar thread, but google "homebrew channel," and that's all you need.

Got it and I'm not sure how to use it to do imports....(now emulators on the other hand...)

It's a bit more complicated than just getting the Homebrew channel (I hadn't gotten around to hacking my Wii when I posted that) but not much more so; if you could get the Homebrew Channel installed on your Wii you should be able to do the rest. I didn't post the instructions here because I'm not sure if it's against the board's rules, but anyone interested can PM me.
