I'm using it. Probably not the BEST software ever, but for $30 and portable, I can't argue with it too much. I have learned some in the few days I've used it. Worth a shot, to be honest. Though they do throw stuff in there like "ninja" "kamakaze" "samurai" and other words that are the SAME.

Been using it for a bit now. Seems like a pretty good piece of software. It's not perfect, but I'd be lieing if I said I didn't learn a bit.

Main concern with it is the writing recognition is kind of bleh. For some reason it doesn't like to detect my hiragana chi, ki, sa, u. Also sometimes it will cut off writing even if you didn't lift the pen, and it counts your strokes, so you just lost a stroke and usually lose the character. I haven't gotten to kanji yet, so I can't comment on that. I just started katakana on there, and it doesn't like my katakana i for some reason.

Granted I already knew kana when starting this, as well as many words, but its worth $30 and just do a lesson a day.

Actually I just picked this up today as an xmas gift for my gf. Kinda tempted to play it myself.

It's got spaces for 3 profiles so you can share one game and just each run your own save.

Awesome. That's exciting to know that after she opens it I can just play it too!

Hint: Getting a gift for someone else and then using it yourself tends to piss them off.

It's made badly. The ideas good but the implementation is wrong as hell. They make you progress in chunks, a bit of this then a bit of that then some of this and make you play it through loads of times to "memorize" it.

Whey they should have done is have say Kana, then basic words, then basic sentences as 3 separate areas and let you progress separately, or at least let you play without having to unlock everything!

It's annoying how you get to see and write kana you haven't seen yet before you can cover them.
