I find this to be ridiculous. Those Arabic words and sentences had been spoken before and after the writing of the Qur'an, Arabic did not start with the Qur'an something even most Islamic individuals seem to forget. Secondly, if you don't want words from your text to be propagated, then it is a little weird. If its holy, if its to be spoken, read, and spread then by all means an unaltered snippet should be flattering (so long as not spoken in a derogatory or demeaning fashion). Granted if it was such a phrase that was taken out of context then I can understand, such as if you spread the phrase about marrying multiple wives without placing the corresponding phrase that each must be treated equally for it to be allowed and that no man can inherently treat them equally. Personally I feel the lyrics they removed took a little zing out of the pie, granted a pie I would not have tasted.
I much enjoy the phrases, especially :"Every soul shall have the taste of death". But then again I'm a little dark and macabre.

You know what I find more ridiculous?

Gamers that boo-hoo over any delay for any reason.

Games get delayed, get the hell over it. I got desensitized to delays back in the NES days when it took forever for Nintendo to just get Zelda II out.

The only time you have the right to bitch about a game being delayed is when said delayed game doesn't benefit from it. This is an extremely minor delay in a season of big releases, I'm sure you guys will get through it somehow.

Ok I just want to make sure I have all this covered....

in the first week you get the astronaut outfit and the leaf t-shirt (or whatever it is), and then if you pre-ordered from Best Buy you get Nariko outfit or if you pre-ordered from Gamestop you get Kratos, Medusa, and Minotaur.

Were there any other bonus's out there that you could get?

Delaying a global release for the whiney complaints of a single demographic is a little asinine. Don't even get me started on how it's even more asinine to delay a game because of religion...

Something that doesn't offend someone's religious beliefs, believe it or not, tends to help sales.

I know you guys don't have a concept of faith or other cultures, but this is more about showing you're not an uneducated fuckwit when releasing a product than it is about being politically correct or catering to spoiled gamers who want to play with little sackpeople right now.

Funny, people here were just spazzing about why it was delayed. People would have flipped that it got delayed. People tend to do this when they really want something. I certainly saw people spazzing over this.

Don't pretend nothing offends you, given time, I'm sure we'll find something. People freaked out when Wipeout HD got delayed because it pretty much gave people seizures outright. You want to hear the lameshit reasons I heard why that shouldn't have been delayed?

Well, excuse me, I used to have epileptic seizures. They're not fun, but luckily for me games did not trigger them that much for me. If the chance is higher than other games that one may cause seizures in players and exceeds the standards set to prevent that, it fucking should be delayed. It would be irresponsible to release it.

One scenario is going to make you look like an uneducated jerk.
The other scenario is going to make people fall down and spasm.

Both aren't great ideas, but hey, whatever gets the spoiled brats thier games faster, right? Let's just ask the industry to lower professional behavior, period.

Believe it or not, controversy sells. Harry Potter, South Park, pretty much every shock jock out there. People like to be bad. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if more people decide not to buy it because they're tired of all the fucking political correctness nowadays to the point where it's interfering with entertainment (and yes, this is nothing more than Sony trying to be PC.) than people who would boycott it because a few seconds in a song in one small part of the game happened to annoy their religion.

Anyway, the few people who would boycott this do not justify the massive amount of profit being lost by delaying it, and having to replace all of those disks.

Way to equate offending the excessively religious with encouraging seizures though, BBQ. That's some quality trolling right there, and I know a thing or two about trolling.

Inducing seizures in someone seems to carry a little more weight in the "It got delayed" department than offending a small minority of people who think they should be able to tell the world what words are off limits.

Apparently you don't because a comparison isn't trolling. A comparison doesn't have to be 1:1 to be valid.

In some people's minds, delaying a game to be sensitive to those that have seizures would be politically correct, too, but its actually just socially responsible. Do you agree with that kind of delay or not? Its not a hard question to answer, Feba. I don't think Sony wanted a repeat of the Pikachu incident in Japan. Nor do I think Sony wants to increase the ire of 15% of of the Muslim population that happens to be batshit insane and wants us all dead for not believing in Islam.

What's more annoying than political correctness is the sense of entitlement people have these days. Sony does not owe you jack. A street date is never a promise and anyone in retail will tell you that. Sony could delay a game for any reason and justify it to thier own ends and not have to tell you. Sorry, but you don't get to define why a game gets delayed and why it doesn't, the company releasing the game does. That's all the matters.

People have started boycotts over far, far less than companies pandering to small amounts of people at the expense of most of their consumers.
