    I think I'll respond with this comment left in that article:

    And yes, if I had that money to blow, I would also make one super rig that would cause brown outs in the national grid, every time I fired it up

          He must use hacks to control the characters, he can't control 36 charcters at the same time, he only has 1 pair of hands...

            All that money wasted on WoW. An account on any MMO is ok, but 36? Even I have to draw a line somewhere.

              Maybe I'm just a geek, but I get attached to my MMO characters, which is why I'm such a fan of FFXI, I think. All of my accomplishments work to further my little taru instead of 20 different characters. Aside from being crazy expensive and hilariously pathetic, it just seems too impersonal for me ; ;.

                it can be done, it says that all 36 are the same class, Shamon. By the way iy looks, with his setup, He can control multiple characters with one keyboard and have them do the same thing with just a key press.

                think of it in FFXI terms, you have a PT of 5 WAR and one WHM he controls the WHM with a Keyboard and the 5 WAR with one controller

                    Or better yet, manaburn by controlling 5 BLMs and one BRD (or RDM)! There's more tactical advantage to having all 5 BLMs cast the same nuke at the same time as opposed to having all 5 WARs Rampage at the same time.

                      Shaman is an easy class to play, its one attack can do allot of damage to one mob, adding another 35 makes it no fair.

                          I don't have a clue. When you break it down hes paying around $500 a month for all 36 chars. Though the little birdie that tells me everything is saying hes funding the rig and accounts by gold farming.

                              Depending on the turn over rate for Gold, If he is indeed a gold farmer then he is laughing all the way to the bank. If I could pull in 30-60gold on 1 run in a lower level instance imagine what eh could do with 36 in a high level instance..
