Fable 2 LE not so... LE anymore

Epic suck.

Those who care probably already heard about it.

Boils down to: Everything that makes it a LE is almost gone now. You've still got the DLC which 10 to 1 ends up on XBL in a few months anyway, so even with the price drop, it's next to pointless.

I like nifty 'Limited' game cases (not so very concerned about the cards/toy), always have. Rather disappointed. That coupled with the possible Online Co-Op delay is starting to make me a bit nervous.

Molyneux doesn't just overpromise when it comes to features in his games. It extends to the physical packaging as well, apparently.

lol I just got my call from gamestop a few mins ago which said the same thing listed in the link. Guess I'll go ahead and get my limited edition, sad thing was I didnt know what was in the LE in the first place. I went on and got the LE version since I was reserving Saint's Row 2 LE at the same time.

What bothers me is that with both of these cuts, the only thing that stands to separate the LE from the RE is the 'making of DVD' which, lets be honest with ourselves, barely anyone watches, or if they do, it's once.

The figurine wasn't that big of a deal for me, or the cards, per se, but I do love my neat cases, and now the case is not neat. It has different artwork, but it's just a generic ass 360 case.

Fail all around. I'm keeping the LE reserved for the DLC, but with all these cuts, I'm honestly starting to hope it stays exclusive, so that there is something else the LE buyers can say they have. But knowing M$, that won't ever happen. It'll be on XBL within the week.

Oh, and Live Co-Op not available at launch = ._.

I wasn't going to start it and run through the entire way Co-Op, but my boyfriend and I had planned to play it together off and on the entire way. And now they're saying a week, or maybe more?

I don't care either way. Fable was over hyped and IMO tries to hard to be KotR online. Between Gears of War 2, Resistance 2 and LBP I'll have plenty to waste my time on this fall.

Fable 1 sucked cock, sure.

Fable 2 is looking to be a vast improvement. I'll let you know if it fails epicly, though, but I'm not expecting it to. M$ has botched the fuck out of the launch, but I don't think the game itself should be bad. And the online co-op was really only a minor matter to begin with. The game was not built, nor designed around, having a buddy in your world at all times.

Shooters bore me, though, so this is about all I have to look forward to. Fallout is too left-field, even if it has an RPG-ish aspect, for me to get into. That and I've not seen a shred of anything saying I can play a female, but I haven't been looking that hard.

My advice Mal, wait for Infinite Undiscovery to be in the bargain bin. I'd say around the $20-25 mark. I'm not impressed. Tales of Vesperia, put on your walking shoes and grab your wallet and get to the store right now! Worth it, imo.

But the XBL Co-Op not being available at release is just another example of how updates through the 360 Dashboard are convincing Developers that it's okay to release unfinished games, because they can always add on more in the future.

lol, I agree. That's what happened with Battlefield: Bad Company for the 360 and PS3. With the game being a Battlefield game, everybody was expecting there would be a Conquest mode multiplayer like in all the others, but this one had a different mode on it. So around February when they announce theres no Conquest mode, everybody gets pissed and so EA decides to add one in. Then they swap from adding one in, to it will be DLC for 360 shortly after the release. After the release they didnt leave much info other than it'll be out soon, which it didn't come out for a little over a month later. Funny part was, when it came out it wasn't announced right away on the website for the game (which ironically told you to check back for updates.) it was announced on a multiplayer news screen in the game that scrolls by with other messages linked to it. If you weren't paying attention or on gamefaqs everyday, you wouldn't have seen or known about it.

BTW not knocking BF:BC i still like it because its Battlefield, but i think the Conquest Mode could've been so much better if it didn't feel like it was thrown together just to make everybody happy.
