I'm not happy.
Sony Liverpool's WipEout HD was supposed to be out this time last year.
I played a near complete build. 10 months ago.
Thankfully, after all the waiting, it's finally almost out. The game was heavily delayed (rumoured to be the result of multiple failures of industry standard epilepsy tests), and Sony's finally ready to launch it on the PSN.
Look at it. LOOK AT IT!
The game runs a beautiful 1080p/60fps over 8 different tracks (16 including reverse tracks), with various race modes and the super-awesome-equalizer-on-the-track Zone Mode. It also features 8-player online racing and 2-player offline splitscreen racing (though it caps to 30fps in splitscreen). It'll also include trophy support and custom soundtracks.
Despite being delayed and despite the devs adding quite a bit of features post-delay, the game launches this month (the rumoured date is Sept. 25th) for only 11.99 GBP. That's roughly $20 for us lowly Americans.
