There are some really good airbrush artists out their and if you think about PC modding its just the same, the WII has a plastic surround which can be removed and cutouts done, airbrushed and bits added without affecting the insides. Onl thing is I would imagine it'll void the warrenty. You may also find companies who specialise in it, look at the Iphone and Ipods, there are numerous companies that will "Bling it up" for you.

That's seriously airbrushing? I thought airbrushing was more for flowing and colour-meshing effects more than definition work... guess I gotta read more about it.

The last Wii posted has a pebbling effect on the base case. You can do this with many layers of paint, pressing a form to the partially dried paint, and then baking it. But that is done for a metal part and Wii cases are plastic so..... really not sure how they achieved that but its awesome!
