Tomb Raider's dark days were pretty much Tomb Raider 3, 4, Chronicles and Angel of Darkness. At some point they forgot about the tomb raiding and then Lara had stealth moves she never had to use and the games were coming out like every half year up until PS2

Tomb Raider Legend and Anniversery brought it all back to roots. Now it just needs to f'n stay there. I heard Lara's rehab partner was the Prince of Persia, seems he's back to normal as well.

I have a childish love for Lara. I've played most of the games (not obsessively of course), and regardless of how silly they still are, I look forward to playing the new one. Granted, my little FPS brain is saying, "Dear god no! AUTO-AIM!" Though if I remember correctly you could easily turn that off in at least Anniversary.
