    DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY

A new video added today on the official site showing some DISSIDIA gameplay. Seems to be Onion Knight vs Cloud of Darkness.

Looks fun, but I am honestly a little disappointed, I was expecting more of a fighting game.

      Nice.

But boooo. No Cloud/Sephiroth/Zack/Angeal/Genesis (that I can see).

Those 5 were destined for such a game....

Sephiroth is confirmed for the Chaos side, which means Cloud is practically confirmed for Cosmos.

My only problem with the game is that they're stopping at FFX.

Stopping at the last good FF isn't too bad of an idea. FFXI doesn't have anyone you could consider enough of a "main character" to fit the Cosmos side unless they pulled some sort of "Hero" character that can switch jobs in combat similar to what the Onion Knight seems to do, but then we'd just have a clone of Onion Knight. I guess Kam'lanaut could work for Chaos. It's still sort of stretching it though.

As for FFXII... well, FFXII can go die in a fire. If they did last minute decide to include it we'd probably end up with Vaan or Balthier for Cosmos and generic last boss guy (Vayne? forgot name) for Chaos. Ashe would be acceptable though.

I'd kill for some more representation of the girls of FF. At the very least, Terra for FFVI. I will cry irl if it turns out to be Locke.

            Also Barret for FFVII Cosmos.

It was apparently a mistake, the guy confused FF2's Firion for Locke.

                Oh yeah, Woot Onion Knight!

                  Ah, I see. Interesting.

Onion Knight looks pretty bad-ass. The game isn't quite what I was expecting but it looks awesome regardless. Which at the same time gives me high expectations about KH: Birth by Sleep's battle system.

Tch. Zeid on Cosmos, Kam'Lanaut on Chaos. It'd work fine.

To be 100% honest, it'd be hard to believe that they wouldn't throw some secret characters in there, at least for XII and XIII.

Wow, that looks bad. Hardly any damage done in the first few minutes of the fight, and then with a single move he takes out an entire HP bar? That seems totally reasonable.

                        Re: FF: DISSIDIA Gameplay movie

From the way it seemed to play out, the player had to break through the enemy's defense (represented by the numbers) to get to the point where he could finish with that super attack. At least, that's the way it seemed to me. They were doing actual damage, so those numbers could be the actual HP, not that bar. Not sure what that could be, but it certainly got its face owned in when Tidus busted out his move at the end.

I'm rather interested in what the full roster will end up being like.

                          Needs more Kain and/or Freya.

At least I'll finally have something to buy for my PSP. Was a gift, but I pretty much only use it a wanna-be iPod.

                            Off-topic, but Nandito. Sig. Awesome.

On-topic, the Onion Knight versus Cloud of Darkness seemed to be much worse in terms of "not seeming to do much damage" then the Tidus versus Jecht fight. Both seemed to be made of awesome nonetheless.

Yeah, it would be somewhat ridiculous to completely ignore XII and XIII at this point.

I'd say Basch would be a great pick from FFXII, then Gabronth as his rival.

FFXI I would totally pick Prishe for the side of Cosmos.. for evil... I pick Eld'narche.
