Any good RTS games out there?

Well it's been over two months since I bought a new game, so I was looking to get a new one. RTS preferably, been playing TBS for the last few weeks so I'm kind of tired of those. I liked Age of Empires II/III and Rise of Nations, but I recently tried Sins of a Solar Empire and Empire Earth III, neither really suited me well. So, anyone know of any games more like AoE/RoN?

I would go with Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution if you want to use a PS3 or Xbox 360. I would wait one more month (Sept, 7 2008) for Spore on the PC.

Losrase, have you played Civilization Revolution on either system? Wouldn't mind playing a good RTS myself but the local BB's only have one copy of the damn game and its always checked out.

Hmm... I'll look into Command and Conquer 3. I was planning on getting Spore anyway, and I spent the last two weeks playing Civilization IV anyway so I'm done with that series for a while...

No, my assumption is made by the way my friends have dropped off the map (havent seen them on FFXI since they said, "I am going to get a copy of Civilization Revolution but I dont expect much from it.")

Just OOC if you like strategy, have you ever tried the Heroes of Might and Magic series?

It's not RTS per say, but it is pretty good. Also, Halo Wars and Star Craft 2 are (hopefully) coming out sometime next year.

I've been playing Supreme Commander, and Company of Heroes.

Both expansion packs are good, however I get confused with Company of Heroes, since there was so many different new things added to each of the squads and people.

But Supreme Commander is really good as a RTS game. (Zoming out full global view, & dual view modes with the [End] key.

The next couple of ones to look for are Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 & Starcraft 2.

I forget how long it takes for C&C:R3 to come out, I think it's sometime this year, but SC2 is gonna take a few more months.

Kinda hate to make a little derail, but what would you suggest for RTS on the DS platform? I'm tempted to get a copy of Civilization Revolution, but none of the stores around me has a copy (that goes for a few other games as well), and I'm not to big on getting it online.

But, I'd like to find something that has insane replay value (Civ), or at the very least something that can tide me over until Chrono Trigger comes out later this year... or until the DS Spore comes out in September.

Koz, I've heard good things about FF12RW, although I haven't played it personally. If you don't mind TBS, Advance Wars and FFTA2 offer a shitload of replay value.

I do have FFTA2... 185/400 complete, and I'm going to get them all done before I go after the final fight, but TBS gets just a tad old with me, and I need to have a nice balance between some TBS and RTS stuff.

For example, shortly after I wrote that post, I actually went to Wally World and picked up a copy of Civ Revolution and FFIV... that's a nice balance for me. But, I'm always looking to expand my always small collection.
