SE goes and manages to fill up the 50 GB of space with game content. so many months later, they begin work on the 360 version... and realized they're screwed since it's DVD format (8 GB limit) and somewhat weaker tech specs.

They either cancel the whole thing, or start making huge cuts from the game so it fits on the DVD. 360 owners buy it and find this out, and soon after SE has a lot of angry people on their hands.

Compression. They've already said that their #1 priority is to decrease the disc space taken up by FMVs and audio.
