I have to say I've really grown to hate all these multi-platform titles.

I don't give a shit about X person not having Y console. I'm SICK AND TIRED of seeing potentially good games take a major dive because the developers had to place limits on the game and spend more time & resources making it work on multiple platforms.

Yes I own all 3 consoles, but I'd still be saying the same thing even if I didn't. I've had my fill of lackluster games tyvm. Thank god most of the Wii stuff (well, the good games anyway) is unique and can't go cross-platform. But then this is a business and as such money comes first, artistic vision second.

Second of all, there is already a Final Fantasy on the 360, AND YOU PLAY IT.

I dont the 2nd time I sent in my 360 to be repaired it had scratched that disk so I gave up on the constant droning thing an play on PS2 that has run for years.

First of all, the game isn't out yet, and buying the console ahead of time (with price drops, hardware revisions, and so on as they are) is just plain stupid.

Right, I'm done here. Don't comment on this without knowing the distinct differences between the two consoles.

Bottom Line; FF13 won't be as big and epic as it could have been because it's going multi-platform, and SE will not put the extra time and money into making 1 version (the PS3) better than the other (360) because it would alienate consumers and be a waste of time and money for the dev teams.


And Feba I already stated that I don't give a rats ass about fan boys or other people's financial situations; I care about games getting dumbed down so they can be mass marketed to a wider audience, much in the same way Anime is butchered when it's translated and aired state-side.


EDIT: I'm not saying all games should be on PS3, or Wii, or 360. That would be stupid. But exclusives really should be left as just that, exclusive. It makes each system more unique and helps promote sales and competition, which is a good thing for consumers. In fact, there are certain games I wouldn't like to see on other consoles, like Zelda and Gears of War. Could GoW run on Ps3? Sure, hell it could even be made to look/run better, but there's no denying that XBL is the best online network between the 3 companies. Not to mention that the 360 controller is perfectly made for shooters. For some reason the Dual Shock 3 just doesn't feel right.

Heh, it's easy to describe him. An Elitist who thinks any opinion outside of his own is irrelevent or completely wrong. He can not see outside his own little world that exalts him to realize that others do, in fact, have different opinions regarding the same subject. That's what makes us individuals. To him, however, anyone aside from himself is ignorant to anything and everything he finds interesting enough to talk about.

He picks apart posts that were genuine opinions from individuals who had legit grievences to the point of making posting anything beyond it pointless and worthless. It's what Elitists do and if we want to try and enjoy ourselves we just have to shake our heads and continue on.

When I mentioned I was looking forward to a GEM for the PS3 I was referring to a game that I would be able to feel "Justified" by purchasing a PS3. As I mentioned before, my PS3 gets little use, because I play most the games on my 360 when they are cross-platform. This is MY personal take on it. What others consider "Gems" I may not. I feel there isn't a "Gem" on the PS3. I was not fond of Resistance, Heavenly Sword was decent, and Folklore was meh. I have nearly every PS2 game that I considered "Gems" for my PS2 so porting them over from Playstation Home is not a neccessity for me.

I have what I consider "Gems" on every other system. The closest thing I have to a "Gem" is the research program that uses my PS3 to help do research. It's about the only reason I feel justified having it and to ME FF13 being on solely the PS3 was something I looked forward to. To, I don't know, diversify my systems maybe even a small bit? Obviously it does not matter anymore since it is set in stone etc, but it doesn't change my disturbance with it. This is America Feba, let others enjoy the freedom of speech part and stop hogging it to yourself. k thnx.

You know what I came to the thread to take out my harsh words a read this post before this. I think I just leave it stand as is but I would not like anyone to think I am some kinda really big nut job that curses his brains out.

Thank you for sharing the trailer but I have to say if your posting those just so you can trap people into giving opinions on the subject then you attack with personal abuse it sucks. I would say do us a favor and do not do it anymore. You got another new one up I see and its about Duke Nukem where you think people should post nasty stuff also about a game that people of love for years like Final Fantasy, I for one say no thanks.

Multiplatform is the wave of the future and 360 has come a long way into the RPG world. For ever gone is the days that you have a reason to be faithful to a console I am sure, but today we are still smarting from the abuse at the hands of "the man" who paid the price of PS3's expecting the game this year. We can only hope that Final Fantasy will be like the PSP and DS remakes better for the experience. 20 years I have played this franchise and even run a radio station that plays the soundtracks 24/7. Never have I been so worried about the future of the "old school" Final Fantasy, this too may be gone forever. Lets hope not, I loved Dirge and FFXII when others did not. Lets up the 360 release means better times for use and maybe that extra bucks will add to the life of FFXI too!

You know, Hideo Kojima said so himself in an interview with IGN that the main reason he chose to put MGS4 on PS3 was because after looking at what each system can do, he felt that the PS3 was the only one that could deliver.

I point out again that he actually had to cut material from MGS4 because all 50 GB were used up. Now then, explain how you can make FF XIII for PS3, fill up the disc, and then transfer all that to a single DVD for the 360. And now you see why I'm upset.
