I'm not saying there won't be a 7 remake, but that there has been nothing that makes it a foregone conclusion.

Id love to see FF7 remade or possibly since they have BLU-RAY available, a compilation of the entire story as we have it right now. (CC,FF7,AC,DoC). In one package Perhaps like a collectors eddition with a nice fat book of the storyline, a time line, Maps etc. That would give me at least 60 hours of play through, hell I don't even care about graphics (my FF7 just bit the dust after more than decade of life and I can't find another anywhere).

In regards to that Video of FF6 on the N64, Ill take it as a pre-SE/Nintendo fallout which had them leave Nintendo for Sony back in the Sony/Nintendo war of the 90's. (Its the same reason Mother (earthbound) 3 was never released for 64, and Square released very few games to nintendo until midway through the 4th Gen system war. (GC PS2 XBOX). Even still SE isn't rolling out the games to Nintendo as often as they did before simply because nintendo has never made the full jump they promised back in the 90's.

As much as the Wii is probably my favorite new gen system it is lacking heavily in the development section, still using less quality hardware, and software compared to the likes of BLU-RAY and HDDVD.

As to the rumor and the demo, I think SE is holding the card for the right time, They will have to wait for a lull in their current projects (FFXIII most importantly) as I know myself if I had my choice between the 2 I would be buying FF7 2 times before 13, simply because of the lackluster showing of the more recent editions. (namely FFX-2,FFXII). Id say wait another year or so (between the release of 13 and 14 (assuming it goes that high) That way they can rekindle their market after a string of bad releases. In fact due to the lackluster nature of the past few games I am not even looking forward to FF13 but being a FF fanboy ill buy it. Just like I did X-2 and 12 even though they collect dust on my shelf and have a total of 50 hours between the 2 of them on my memory card, I need them to complete my chronological order of my FF shelf starting with FF and ending at several copies of games I can't even play (chronicles and other GC releases).

Im not hating on FFVII, But i'd much rather a FFVI remake , in all it's glory.

FULLY 3d as Advent Children, with the same storyline and craziness. I'd go gaga for it.

I will most likely play the ffvii remake. But after playing FF 4 again on PSP. I need soem adult characters back as my leads.

There's already a remake coming in FFIII DS style. I'd prefer they go no further than that, FFVI was too charming in 2D to leap to realisitc 3D. I'll take cutesy 3D for this one.

Keep them superdeformed, keep Kefka's laugh intact. Or at least cast Mark Hamill to voice Kefka because his Joker was kickass back in Batman: The Animated Series and Kefka pretty much is the the Joker.
