Gaming accomplishments thread, week June 23rd

Set this up somewhat in http://www.ffxionline.com/forums/vid...june-16-a.html -- basically, games you're going to play and ones you did in one thread. Easy way to see how well you're doing compared to your hopes.


Personally, I did finish Okami, and the Arcade mode of Blast Works.

I cleared MGS, and also went on to clear MGS2.

This week, I'm planning on continuing to play Blast Works (community powered downloadable content rules!), as well as Wii Fit (barely managed to get a copy from target, but that's an entirely different thread. actually, I will start that thread.); I'm hoping to start AND finish MGS3 as well. That shouldn't be too difficult-- I accomplished MGS2 in only two sessions. And I completely forgot to eat the entire time I was playing it.

Otacon creeps you out so bad in MGS2 you don't want to eat anyway, much less continue your will to live.

Otacon was pretty creepy by himself. I did have an "omigawd you BASTARDS" moment earlier when I realized that Emma's death was almost certainly orchestrated by the Patriots, though. I mean, that was already hard enough to watch with it being a legitimate death (particularly Otacon and the parrot); if I had a soul, knowing that it was just part of the Patriot's scheme would make me cry.

completed MGS2 in one sitting, the completed MGS4 with lobster award, hells yeah (ok it wasn't my highest ranking award but still awesome XD)

Successfully installed my new graphics card. Started playing Bioshock. I am satisfied with the game's Win. I played 18 hours over the course of 2 days (that's waking up before 8 AM thinking "I should be killing some Splicers.") and I'm currently set up to be a beast with a wrench. Actually using Guns in FPS is so yesterday.

Worthy of note: I haven't played the same game for more than 3 hours in one sitting for ummm 5 years. So this is pretty epic.

Currently playing:

Mass Effect PC on Insanity level using what seems to me to be the weakest of the 6 available classes (Engineer). Almost done, as I've just cleared Virmire.

Rock Band on PS3. Got the #1 vocals score on PlayStation Network for Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold, and managed to magically score a 100% on Something About You by Boston for vocals in band quickplay earlier this week.

Metal Gear Solid 4. Still in the middle of act 2 so I've a fair ways to go, or so I've heard.

Finished my second MGS4 playthrough. Halfway up to Knife Level 3 in MGO.

Add Gyrostarr to my above list. First WiiWare game; also the first game I've ever paid to download. A very fun shooter; just simple enough to pick up and play (which is good, considering it has plenty of multiplayer possibilities), while also having plenty of depth to it.
