Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 seem to be $22.99 each at the local EB Games here. KH2 in particular can get a bit button-mashy at times, but it's not without its difficulty and the KH series kicks ass. Just be sure to play Chain of Memories between KH1 and 2. It's critical to understanding wtf is going on.

EoJ is a great buy even if you're not into card games...still you're getting a game for free with the purchase of an eye toy or a free eye toy with the purchase of a game lol.

But check local listings not all Target stores participating. If your local target store ordered too many Madden 09 CE you'll see them on clearance.

Hey everyone, how about we keep our eyes open for good game bargains for the coming months. Everyone knows Christmas is coming (and I don't know about you but I have an assload of birthdays in the next 4 months too!) and it would be nice to pick up a great game for a great price. So if you see a good online or "offline" price on a game, post in this thread and let everyone know.

A good store to watch is Circuit City. They are filing for bankruptcy so you are going to be seeing some sales there. There are some crappy ones currently (10% PC games, crappy % off accessories, etc) but eventually they might have some good blow outs so keep your eyes open.

How did I miss this thread back when it started? Bah. With the exception of Dark Cloud (PS2), all of these games I'll mention are PS1:

-The original Grandia is also quite cool. If you can find it and are fine with crap graphics, play and enjoy.
-Wild Arms 2 is a favorite in my family. We've yet to play 1 (though we own a copy) and we were generally very disappointed with Wild Arms 3.
-Dark Cloud definitely has playtime invested. For me, though, it was good but not worth the monotony. Diablo addicts beware.

It probably only takes 10-15 hours, but I suggest anyone who can play the original Soul Reaver. This was one of the first games where the story came first. And in turn, it turned me from the perspective of "sometimes the plots are cool in games" to "it's really not worth my play time unless I'm enjoying the character building." Add in good voice acting and (for its time) interesting combat (at many points of the game, you simply cannot kill even the most simple of bad guys with your bare hands) and it's definitely worth the play.

Also, I believe this was the first game to successfully implement a system wherein the environment is loaded in segments. i.e. if you're traveling through a tunnel and you're in the 4th section, sections 3 and 5 are already loaded into memory and 3 was just destructed. Thus, no load times for traveling across the open world.

Oh yeah. I always plug Vagrant Story but I'll do it again. One of the most compelling storylines I've ever seen. Only thing that I think comes close is Dune (the book; not the movies). Also possible to spend 100 hours playing the game and find you're only halfway to building the ultimate armor set.

Yes this system is refurbished but you get the same 90 day warranty that everyone else does with a new one. At $160 for a 360....this is a VERY good deal.

Best Buy has Killer 7 at $10 in bargain bins. I don't know if it's worth it, since I've been too busy playing NMH and FF8 to give it a shot, but I'm planning on doing that later.

Primarily, I want to just say at $20, buy No More Heroes dammit. It's around 10 hours the first time, but you WILL replay it. Lots. I have wrist pain I haven't had since Super Mario Galaxy. Just the right amount of waggle, but it can't be helped when you play the game for six or seven hours at a time.

The game is hugely fun, incredibly stylish, has great music (Download the OST, too), great bosses, and it's one of those games you simply have to play for how bizarrely awesome it is, like Katamari Damacy or Super Mario Galaxy.
